I'm sorry. What happened to @ Kentucky on Sept. 13th? They've got us on their schedule for that date. That starts our season with 4 away games!
There's no reason not to think that we we'll have 4 away games to start the season. It seems like one last hoorah for the "Money-game" scheduling philosophy.

Wow if we can win 3 outta 5 we could be looking at a top 20 ranking!SyracuseWisconsinKentuckyCinciArmy
so, er, if we are 3-2 with wins at Syracuse, Cincinnati, and Army, we have a top20 ranking? color me extremely skeptical

If Cincy aint a sellout. The new stadium is a waste.
With the rise of the Bearcats under Kelly, I would hope for a good crowd for this one as well. I don't think it necessarily has to sell out to justify the new stadium though.Does anyone else thing there might be a slight "nostalgia" effect that could boost overall attendance in the last year at the Bowl? I think it's very possible, and I hope the U plays it up that way.Wasn't the consensus on this board that the Badger game is dead for 2008?

It is a long shot but with most of the big boys playing 1AA opening, and we are playing 3 bowl teams in the first 4 weeks of college football...it's possible notice I said "could be" not "would be".

If Cinci is a sellout, the Rubber Bowl will collapse into the hillside.
I do hope they do some engineering studies/stress tests to see how many people can safely sit on each of the remaining bleacher seats and simultaneously use the troughs. Would love to see a lot of people show up for the Rubber Bowl Nostalgia Tour. I wonder if Mother Nature will grant us decent weather to enjoy the last 5 or so dates out there. Hope so.

:D "Trough" talk never ceases to put a grin on my face. I'm gonna miss that old Bowl.

I foresee a win in Lexington. You can take that to the bank. I remember a few years ago (2004 I believe) when Ohio went to KY and beat them pretty bad, KY had to battle back late to make the score look closer than it really was (28-16). KY loses their quarterback Woodson, best receiver Burton, best running back Little, only tight end Tamme, and third best receiver Johnson. It will be a rebuilding year somewhat for them. Regardless, it would still be a great win for the Zips and I can't wait to make that trip. I used to bleed blue, but am proud to say I still do, only a little darker shade......with a little gold.

I will be stealing a trough from the bathroom after the final game at the Bowl. Don't try to stop me.
STOP you?!? Wouldn't surprise me if there are enough of us standing around to carry you out of the Bowl in the thing! Will look like something straight out of Animal House! Blue hair, sunglasses and Hawaiian shirt are a must!

Amen Hollywood!I think the sweetest UK victory would be when we beat them in 2009 for the first game in our new stadium!!!

No it's not a consensus. Although the game was removed from our schedule nearly 2 years ago, many here still think we are going to play the game. Must be Democrats, they believe in change.

 I've been reserving a Rubber Bowl Trough ever since they announced the new stadium. And I want at least one bathroom stall (with no door, of course) with the paint peeling off of it, an ice cold toilet seat, and an old fiberglass bleacher section to go along with it.Don't worry guys...there will be plenty to go around for everyone. There must be about 20 of those throughs in each bathroom.

If that game ends up being played, you will never be able to show your face around here again.

Actually I have never shown my face here at all.If that game gets played, I was misinformed by a very prominent person at "Akron U."
