gozips19 Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 if the MAC gives them a home game on the 13th it will not be that bad although it's sad to be ok with three road games every year. i sure hope this changes once the info is dropped! Quote

ZippyAlum Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 I'm sorry. What happened to @ Kentucky on Sept. 13th? They've got us on their schedule for that date. That starts our season with 4 away games! Quote
Lee Adams Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 any of you guys actually KNOW what the schedule is... just play the games! Quote
a-zip Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 If Cincy aint a sellout. The new stadium is a waste. Quote

johnnyzip84 Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 If Cincy aint a sellout. The new stadium is a waste. With the rise of the Bearcats under Kelly, I would hope for a good crowd for this one as well. I don't think it necessarily has to sell out to justify the new stadium though.Does anyone else thing there might be a slight "nostalgia" effect that could boost overall attendance in the last year at the Bowl? I think it's very possible, and I hope the U plays it up that way.Wasn't the consensus on this board that the Badger game is dead for 2008? Quote

Would love to see a lot of people show up for the Rubber Bowl Nostalgia Tour. I wonder if Mother Nature will grant us decent weather to enjoy the last 5 or so dates out there. Hope so. Quote

HOLLYWOODZIPPY Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 Wow if we can win 3 outta 5 we could be looking at a top 20 ranking!SyracuseWisconsinKentuckyCinciArmyI foresee a win in Lexington. You can take that to the bank. I remember a few years ago (2004 I believe) when Ohio went to KY and beat them pretty bad, KY had to battle back late to make the score look closer than it really was (28-16). KY loses their quarterback Woodson, best receiver Burton, best running back Little, only tight end Tamme, and third best receiver Johnson. It will be a rebuilding year somewhat for them. Regardless, it would still be a great win for the Zips and I can't wait to make that trip. I used to bleed blue, but am proud to say I still do, only a little darker shade......with a little gold. Although the game was removed from our schedule nearly 2 years ago, many here still think we are going to play the game. Must be Democrats, they believe in change. Quote
skip-zip Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 I've been reserving a Rubber Bowl Trough ever since they announced the new stadium. And I want at least one bathroom stall (with no door, of course) with the paint peeling off of it, an ice cold toilet seat, and an old fiberglass bleacher section to go along with it.Don't worry guys...there will be plenty to go around for everyone. There must be about 20 of those throughs in each bathroom. Quote

Marty McFly Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 Cincinnati - Sept 27thIt's shame that Ben Mauk from Cincinnati wasn't granted another year of eligibility. Watched him in high school down at Paul Brown w/ Kenston and would have loved to see him play in person again. Quote
