I am not happy with the lack of progress in the program as a season ticket holder. However, Akron cannot afford a buyout. Let him coach next season on his last year and see if he does anything to deserve a new deal. I think Moorehead is a good offensive coordinator, but not a head coach who is skilled enough to do both duties. He needs to bring in someone or promote someone to OC so he can dedicate time to the entire program. His teams continue to make the same mistakes year after year. The same stupid penalties. The same undisciplined mistakes. He either needs to be the OC or the head coach, not both.

Our defensive line is getting manhandled.

What is the quarterback situation like?

The most Akron of Akron things to happen.

Boals is a good coach. Sometime a good coach and his message has run it's course. This looks to be the case to me.

My bad, sorry

I wonder if this affects Nate Johnson also? https://x.com/scotthughescbb/status/2003523291714355708?s=61

Does anyone know why the big Serb, Stankovic, has not been getting much PT? Is he in the dog house?

Cornerback signing

Sorry I posted the wrong link and now can’t find the correct link.

Ohio to vacate 7 wins. https://x.com/petenakos/status/1995690540848087496?s=61

Evan Mahaffey is a MENACE

I think you mean Eric Mahaffey instead of Evan in your first point.

This may be 56 - 0 today. Turning off the game.

Moorhead has been a great offensive coordinator in the past. That is where his true talent is. Right now, he is trying to be a head coach and an offensive coordinator. He can't do both well. He needs to give up on one or the other for this year. Give OC responsibilities over to someone else on staff so he can focus on the head coach responsibilities. He is not made out to be a Head Coach. He will be a coordinator somewhere else next year. Coach Tibs has proven to be an effective defensive coordinator. Really impressive scheme and performance last night. Perhaps he could be a head coach someday. Unfortunately, this season is going to be another dumpster fire. Coaches will leave. Players will leave. Recruits will decommit. A new coach will takeover and the dumpster fire will continue.

Offensive line is getting manhandled by Wyoming. Zips defensive speed is causing Wyoming problems. Zips are playing much more disciplined football finally. Turnovers may decide the outcome.

New Commit and another from Pennsylvannia

Lt.Gov. Tressel should be pushing for the NCAA to #FreeAkron. Would also help if Senators Moreno and Husted got involved and VP Vance.

He is gonna get more money. Good luck to him. Groce and staff will get another good one.

To take the next step... Keep Groce. Keep our players. Akron guys. Need more size at the wing and another big. In the MAC, centers are 6'8" and 225. The wings for Arizona and other major conferences are that size. We got destroyed inside by St. Mary's and Arizona. I often wondered if we would ever see Lykes and Okonkwo in the game together. I don't recall them ever being in the game at the same time. I know that is to protect against fouls. We need that size against teams like Arizona.

Amani Lyles was a man in this game. I think his three pointer in the second half started the confidence and his rebounding was superb. Great outlet pass for the game winner. Incredible poise and determination by the team in the second half. They took the best punch Miami had and recovered. So much resilience.

Did Tavari Johnson actually foul a guy on the hand with his eyeball? Most ridiculous call ever.

Shammah went JUCO so now he gets that time back.

Groce and his staff have a history of developing players into big time players. Okonkwo is a good college player. If he sticks around and develops as he could under this staff he could be great, especially in the MAC. Another year of development, especially focused on offensive skills, would probably make him more attractive to overseas pro ball. I hope he returns. Would be the makings of another great Akron team.
