I've had "Roo Brew" in the Rubber Bowl lot for about 7 years now. I hope the guy that's ripping me off goes bankrupt. :P Here's a label from 2003:1CatcherFrye.jpgThis years batch will be the best ever. Guaranteed. The new label is already taking shape. :thumb:
I thought this stuff was supposed to make it to some store....did it...what happened?

Visit Wisconsin sometime and you may realize NE Ohio is a beer backwater.
oh God i have...i call it my pilgrimage. Miller Brewing Company and the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company. Both amazing places that give you a good amount of free beer on the tour. (aka 3 or 4 to each person, each tour)

If we want to keep it "local" can we use the term "local MAC?" Then I would suggest Kalamazoo's Bell's BreweryI almost missed a Zips basketball game because of Bells. I'll take any of the three below on tap in the new stadium.bell.jpgIf you ever go to Western to see a Zips game MAKE SURE you stop at Bell's.

so this all begs the question what kind of beer do you want to see sold? I would like to see yuenglin but that will probably happen after a national championship
Don't you just know it will be the Buckeye Brewing Company...

I'm pretty sure the NCAA prohibits the sale of alcohol at all athletic contests that are held on campus. But alcohol sales are permtitted in suites and loges.
Not true--The Carrier Dome in Syracuse is on campus and I assure you can can drink all the overpriced beer you want until the end of halftime. So Kangaroo fans bring your $$$ to Syracuse this fall.BTW, Syracuse offers Bud products (Brewery in town) but if you go on the first level I heard you can find LaBatt's and SaranacClick on the Right Side For Syracuse Tailgate and Visitor Info

You're more then a tad late. I already posted that NCAA has no such rule and any alcohol bands are left up to the schools and the conferences. The SEC has ban on alcohol regardless to on-campus or not. Alcohol sales are banned at SEC events. If, you watch the SEC football championships or basketball here in Atlanta. The alcohol concessions open for Atlanta Falcons games are closed.

Syracuse Suds is very good--they have a few large TVs to watch college football either before or after the game.Empire Brewing is excellent--food is better than Syracuse Suds IMHO but is more brew pub than sports bar. Both are in Armory Square.

I'm reattaching the link, as it didn't work for me. An interesting piece of information is the state law passed in Minnesota.
That brings the Gophers in compliance with a recently passed state law that requires alcohol sales be available to all fans at university events -- or none.

After tinking about it I think they made the right call on allowing alchohol only on the 5th and 6th floors. There's plenty of time to pursue your livations after our victories..Go Zips!!

It's funny....Ohio government for years has said "no" to gambling in the state. But now that there's a budget deficit...low and behold...maybe a few slot machines scattered across the state isn't such a bad idea?Mark my words...the instant attendance begins to drop, or budgets need to be made...beer will mysteriously appear on an Infocision concourse. Somehow, the concern for student drinking will disappear. In year #1 sell-outs are guaranteed. And there's a big spotlight on the grand opening. It isn't worth the risk now. Wait a couple...when House of LaRose dangles a big wad of cash under the AD's nose.Once it can be implemented under the radar, it'll happen. There's not valid reason not to have it. Don't get me wrong...there's a myriad of hyperbolic, ill-founded yet impassioned reasons not to have beer. But if it worked at the Rubber Bowl for 5 years with no problems, it would work on campus. It is the same group of people. And for the record -- I was inside the "Zipsfest" area once in it's 5-year existance. Any other halftime I was taking my son to play on the inflatable bouncing things. If there was a "ZipsFest II" I'd probably still hit it about twice per decade. The tailgate lot is sufficient for me.
