I have a scary thought... Remember last year when he had an issue, and it looked like he was going to just quit the team? Lets hope this doesn't go that far. And for what it's worth, I don't mind having the reputation as the school who is tough regarding student/athlete behavior. It is something to be proud of, even if the results suck sometimes. We'll rally behind the guys we've got, who know how to behave themselves, like we always do.

First off: I've never laid my hands on someone I was dating in a confrontational manner. Words are always THE only way to deal with things, and if you need to "blow off steam" walk away. Second off: Be smart. Of course the man is always going to get blamed, don't lay hands on the other person...remove yourself from the situation. Be smart. Third off: Sina King and Demetrius Dreadwell are/were dating? What?????????

So this means Akron would be ranked last of all the 48 teams that got in since they play away and if they win they play the #1 seed. Whatever.

I could deal with the weather. After a dozen years of going to almost every home game and a few on the road, I could deal with the on-field performances. But the BG game was the last weeknight game for me. I have a life outside of InfoCision Stadium/Summa Field and weeknight games are just not worth it. I expect this will be my last year as a season ticket holder if next year's schedule is anything like this year's.

I'm sure he needs to account for the return on the scholarships that he is handing out. That matters to me too. But, why is this any different than all of the other D-1 schools in the country who go out on a limb a bit for some guys who can help the program win more? And I think his risk taking has been minimal. I believe he's only given scholarships to two non-qualifiers in 11 seasons? Come on. If he was handling the situations differently, I would be concerned. In my view, he's been consistently swift and decisive, and certainly hasn't shown that he would hesitate to penalize a high-level contributor over a low level contributor. And beyond basketball, I feel that in all of these cases, he's given great effort to be a positive influence on some of these guys lives, off the court. Maybe the best influence some of them have had in their lives.

Did the chicken littles forget the cupcake schedule that we have? Even without Tree....21 games is still achievable, I mean we're already 1/21 of the way there!

You're talking academics when this discussion is based on off-court disciplinary issues and how the team/university handle them. Two entirely different topics.

Good observation about Pohl's passes. I was a Pohl fan couple of years ago. But it has become obvious he,like many others can not throw the short/intermediate passes with any authority or accuracy. And,when he presents no credible running threat and the offense revolves around rhythm passing, AND, the coaches do not seem willing to adjust to personnel available on a consistent basis it becomes apparent why the offense has struggled. Whether Woodson is the 'answer' or it is going to take 'breaking in' another new QB next season remains to be seen. Gonna be tough if Bowden has to play an inexperienced QB next season.

Then you need to agree wholeheartedly! Just frustrating to see this team take such a nosedive into the crapper. Hope somehow they perform some corrective action for these final two games. 50 soft floaters per game has proven to get us nowhere fast.
