My guess, knowing how player parents get, is that they were the ones being disrespectful. The players shouldn't have responded, though.

The strategy was clear: Our defense is so bad he did not want to give the ball back to Ball State if we did not convert on 3rd down since we were on our own end of the field. He did not want to be down 24-7 at half time. Our bad defense now dictates our offense. This is also the reason he did not go for it on fourth down. Against Appalachian State, Western Michigan and Ball State, this game is the first time we have seen the opposing kicker in the first half. That is the definition of bad defense.

I sure hope we get at least one uniform that is blue and gold. I get the alternate uni trend, but it's ridiculous that the men's BB team doesn't have one uni that is the school colors. (I'd like to see some gold pants on the FB team, too.)

As a complete side note, I recently got an Android TV device to breathe a few more years of life into my TV before 4K smart TVs become affordable, and streaming this game in HD over the ESPN app is great.

Not going to happen, nor should it. Edwards has explosiveness we have not had out of the backfield. Great block and run.

I agree with this. I think that Akron's defense won't be good, but it'll be enough to get things done. All the defense needs to do is to come up with one or two stops that allows the offense to take a lead and hold onto it.

From what I heard, and this is all on very good authority, this was simply a wood burning project that went awry. Some of the Zips players were looking to surprise Coach Bowden with a customized canoe paddle as a Sweetest Day gift, and the damn gun tip overheated. Thankfully no one was injured. The players were embarrassed, and promised to never again undertake any craft projects prior to games. The pic below was taken just before the accident...if they wouldn't have added that last pine tree, everything would have been cool. Much ado about nothing. Move along everyone.

Why?

Players are entitled to privacy on medical issues until they want to disclose them, and the team is entitled to secrecy, if they choose to do so. I respect that. I'm not the first one on this board that's held back on disclosing too many details. Rumor? You mean that fact that I refuted someone's statement that Brock's situation was "doubtful...probably a knee", and told you that you'll find that it is something much more significant? That's spreading "Rumor BS"? I already knew it to be incorrect, and wanted to let everyone know without saying more than I felt comfortable disclosing at the time. This isn't directed just at you, but if some people on this board would pull back a bit on wanting to be argumentative about everything that's posted, and would just listen a little more, you might just realize that you're getting some tips on some things that are on the horizon that might be pretty valuable.

Either say it don't enough of the rumor BS.
