  1. I think you are high by roughly 4.2k.

  2. Both. Both are on TV so easy to jump back and forth. And if one game goes really south always have the other. If both games go really south not getting up til Saturday.

  4. Tailgating now. We're the one in lot 9 with the multiple Toledo flags. May leave game early if the World Series is close but at least we are pregaming for both

  5. Thanks Kreed. Maybe I should also be more clear about what we're usually looking for over the years. Pleading for someone to turn on a TV in a corner so that we can watch a Zips game in a bar crowded full of OSWho fans doesn't excite anyone in my group. So, although there have been places where we popped in and can't find anyone willing to help us out, the real lack of any kind of Akron crowd or Akron atmosphere anywhere is what's really disappointing. That reminds me. Has anyone been in the new Gridiron (Old BW3)? The layout is the same, but the Blue and Gold paint makes me feel a little bit at home, and they've increased the amount of Zips paraphernalia around the place. I read an article that actually said that this was their intention. I appreciate that, and intend to give them a little more business, when I can.

  7. I'm down for the Zips and I'm thinking about bringing the tailgating equipment ONE MORE TIME! Why not?

  8. I'm a bigger Indians fan than I am Zips, Cavs, or Browns so choosing game 7 of the World Series over a regular season Zips game is a no brainer for me. Sorry Zips. I'll be scoreboard watching from my phone at one of the downtown Cleveland bars.

  9. He limps after a good sneeze. I can't imagine him on the D line for more than 3 plays before the trainer is involved.

  10. 7-0 Cubbies. The Info's gonna be empty tomorrow night.

  11. I had to read this a couple of times because I thought it might have been a joke. An Akron team, in the MAC, that's "competitive" with an 8-win season draws a 30k crowd to The Info after hell freezes over. Our 2015 and 2016 teams are right in that ballpark. Two years, similar win total, and in competition for a MAC title. So, how do those attendance numbers look to you? And one of the biggest games of the year on the agenda tomorrow. So, what you you guess? 3k to 4k? Maybe 5K if the Indians aren't playing? So, where do you see something changing in the future where we might draw 10 TIMES THAT MANY FANS to a similar game, under similar circumstances?

  12. What I want to know is why Newman Williams isn't playing DT. It's not like we would miss his productivity on offense.

  14. The JAR sucks and the home sked is terrible each and every year. We're getting off topic so I'll keep it short, but it's a miracle we sell as many tickets as we do for the MBB team.

  15. I think you are the one that doesn't understand. Toledo defense might be bad (ranked 42nd in total defense which doesn't sound terrible), but Akron's defense is perhaps the worst in FBS bad or at least close to it. Akron is giving up 483 ypg which is good for 118th in the country and is over 100 more yards per game allowed than Toledo. Akron is giving up 228 ypg on the ground. Even when they know their opponent is going to run, they haven't been able to stop it. I don't see that somehow changing this week.

  16. Was able to attend the East -vs- Ellet game last night and saw two juniors I really hope we're recruiting. The first is Daishawn Brimage. Little brother of future Zip DeAndre. "Little" as in both younger and smaller. Lol. DeAndre is 6-1, 265 and plays DL. His little brother plays safety/WR & is "only" 6-1, 195. Lol. Great size for a WR/S. He's muscular, athletic & fast. He had 1 INT last night and returned a kickoff for a 80 yard TD. He's a great looking athlete, who probably isn't going to ever put up a lot of stats at WR just because East is a run-oriented team and East's QB isn't the best passer in the world. And speaking of East being a run-oriented team, there will by no means be a drop off in East's RB department next year - even after stellar RB and future Zip Jemarulin Suggs graduates. The second player I hope the Zips are looking at is RB Devanier Floyd. This kid is a beast!! He's 5'9", 200 lbs. & fast with a mean streak (much like Suggs). This guy, even with weight like that, is fast to the edge & has breakaway speed. Great looking RB who's totally under the radar right now because of Suggs getting most of the carries. This buck's gonna blow up next year, I guarantee.
