  1. This is the perfect arena for a mid-major. There is not a bad seat in the entire place.

  6. 2017 Spring Prospectus Lots of mistakes in there......and I'm not sure I'd take some of that depth chart seriously, but I figured I'd share. I'm assuming at least the players not participating in spring ball is factual. I bet you all can guess one of the players. Hint: He's a popular topic of discussion on here about being under utilized.

  7. Great to see Joe Korb in action. He did not do much besides work up a sweat. Good for him! Kid has had a rough go.

  8. If only we had some media members that "gave a damn" and would investigate and report this type of information, right @Balsy

  9. Kwan's play is a "wild card." I don't think an injury is? I'll speculate George is just acting like he did some investigative reporting, and Dog is fine.

  11. If this were my offense, I would explore adjusting my personnel packages at the line of scrimmage with the flexibility of MTB and TC. Assuming TC could lineup at WR and RB, we already know that MTB can lineup at TE, WR and H-back. With the same huddle, you could adjust to 00, 01, 02, 10, 11, 12... after getting to the line of scrimmage to see what personnel the defense was playing. That would be a tempting option for me to experiment with a couple times in each half.

  12. I mentioned this on another thread back in early December: 2017 Wide Receiving Corps zzx replied to Blue & Gold's topic in Akron Zips Football Of course there will be a wide open competition for all of the WR positions next year. However, with Jerome Lane to the NFL and Kentucky transfer TE Darryl Long (6-4 246) eligible to play for the Zips in 2017, I think Mykel-Traylor Bennett may emerge in Lane's vacated starting X-WR spot. Austin Wolf should hold on to the starting Z-WR spot. December 5, 2016 ---Additionally, I think Travon Chapman may emerge at a starting role -- possibly at slot Y-WR --others to keep an eye on include Nate Stewart and Kwadarrius Smith

  13. It was cold. Contrasting styles. ND is very direct, to great efficacy. Akron held the ball. ND always pushes forward, with long diagonal passes. Same as last year. Think West Bromwich vs, Arsenal. Holthusen, Zajac, and De Vera were keys.

  14. Can't be worse than the Kent state student hoisting 3 pointers at the championship game. "Use your legs!!!"
