He couldn't win the big games at Akron so he left for sh**ty A10 school. I hope they lose every single game.

You guys realize this isn't like basketball and the schedules are made years in advance, right? It really is impossible to predict how ANY team will be 5 years from now. Hell even OSU had a year where they won the Sugar Bowl and then had a losing record the next season (and almost lost to Toledo). I can't be the only one who remembers Ohio beating Penn State a few years ago. I can't be the only one who remembers when we came within a few inches of beating ranked Michigan. Yes it turned out Michigan sucked that year, but there was no reason to think that team was going to suck going into the game - same with Penn State. I wonder if Appy State fans are complaining about the "slaughter" games. That "slaughter game" made them famous! Going against good competition makes you better and will prepare you more for conference play. You play the games for a reason. I bet our players are loving the chance to go on national television with a chance to shock the world. Go Zips!

What type of message does it send to the rest of the team if you sit a player for fear of injury? 1-We have no shot so why bother risking injury? 2-Why is he the only player the coaches are worried about getting hurt? Are we not important?

You don't sit a kid who wants play in the league in a P5 game.

This time it counts....Zips WSOC win their first regular season match of 2018, 3-0 over Green Bay. A little disorganized to start the match but then settled into a nice attack in the second, similar to Friday night. Erica Schrader seems to like the leadership role and Baughman, Corrigan and O'Brien look more relaxed now they have a season or two under them. Jiu in goal is sure going to be a factor going forward. Now the first road trip and the competition gets a little tougher. I like 1-0-1 after the first weekend though.

It will be fun to watch Duquesne's "strength" of schedule evolve over the next few seasons, as they turn into an unstoppable A-10 force that wins NCAA tourney games. I'm betting heavy-hitters Bethune Cookman and perhaps Coppin State are on the horizon.

You go into this game to win. As the game progresses it will become apparent if we have a shot. If the battle looks bleak, then Ball comes out first, then you get Woodson out and learn more about our QB backups. If Woodson comes out this signals game over to everyone watching (including the players). I think we have a good chance of being close into Q3.

I would ask Warren Ball if he felt playing against Penn State was something he wanted to do. If Warren said "Hell yeah. You think I came back for a 6th year to play against Arkansas Pine Bluff? I plan on being an NFL back next season. If I can't steamroll a sophomore Penn State linebacker what chance do I have against Dont’a Hightower?' Warren's earned the right to do whatever he wants to do.

Ball came back to prove himself worthy of an NFL spot after last season was a bust. It's the same reason he transferred to Akron in the first place: to get a chance to shine in the spotlight as a featured back. You don't sit him for the only opportunity he'll have to prove himself against top competition, where the NFL scouts will be watching. That would be an incredible disservice to him.

I get the logic of sitting and I really don't disagree, especially after Wisconsin last year, but it is just not a good message to send to your team.
