  1. I did not watch the game. Evidently no one else did either, or they surely would have mentioned this. . . https://screengrabber.deadspin.com/here-is-how-to-turn-victory-into-defeat-in-99-yards-1819251667

  2. I felt really sorry for them for about 2 seconds and then I got over it.

  3. I think EMU is pretty legit. Potentially a top 3 MAC squad. Still not sold on Buffalo. I think the jury is still out on them. Wins vs Kent, Colgate, and FAU don't impress me much.

  4. Almost up there with App St and Michigan?! LOL. We will see how it looks when the season plays out. I would be its more along the lines of 6-6 VT beating OSU.

  5. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/player-ratings-pulisic-altidore-star-014352658.html RB — DeAndre Yedlin: 7 — So that’s what it’s like to have a right back who’s meant to be playing right back. I’ve defended Graham Zusi, Right Back, on a number of occasions (and I’ll continue to do so), but there’s no two ways about it: Yedlin, at age 24, is the right back of the present and the future. In a game that got a little too stretched for most Americans’ liking, his recovery speed snuffed out would-be chances before they could be taken on a number of occasions.

  6. Scoreboard pictures from 10am Monday morning. View from the track looking to the southeast.

  7. Kreed's probably right. We've got two Tuesday night games in November that will sorely impact attendance.

  8. I think we have a legitimate shot at hitting whatever average they want to. Phantom sales, y'all!

  9. Early submission for most predictable post of the year

  10. They've already started moving them around. The Zippy Capital One banner and both banners honoring our all-time winning coaches have been moved to the sidelines. They still need to find new locations for the flags; American, Ohio and UA.

  11. He missed practice most of the week with a foot injury, so I wouldn't read anything into it just yet.

  12. I saw the same thing. Buffalo has a few big receivers that are serious matchup problems. I find it hard to believe ianello recruited them.

  13. Reps might be the short answer. The Zips have a lot of new receivers he is working with. He had surgery in the offseason and just started to throw in June. He didn't get to scrimmage much in the summer. I have heard some people claim there was wind Saturday. Standing on the field, I didn't really feel it though. He's been pretty good at the deep throw throughout his Zips career, I would guess the passing game continues to progress throughout the year. He did not overthrow Wolf on this touchdown.

  15. Here ya go...I took a screenshot of it: Hopefully they show some videos of it up and running. It really looks huge. Maybe it will make the JAR feel less like a high school...

  16. Do not agree. He was in a hole when they put Tommy in and it would have been a bad spot for a turnover. I actually like the limited reps, in meaningful spots in the games, that he gas been getting, but you do more harm to leave him when there is a higher liklihood of failure.

  17. Almost up there with App State beating UM a few years back. ISU is a P5 so it isn't as bad though. But still bad. I am waiting for the day that Akron has the big upset.

  18. I do not insinuate that Zips are in with no worries. Don’t get me wrong. I am plenty worried! To your point, an At Large bid for the MAC will be a horrible seeding. We need some scorers to return to form and/or to regain health.

  20. Also, I haven't paid that much attention. . . Is CMU pretty good or just mediocre this year?

  21. Though I'm still not happy with the way we lost to both Penn State & Iowa State, all 3 of our losses look more understandable now. PSU - BCS contender ISU - beat Okla. Troy - beat LSU

  22. Ok, I will take your Morning Quiz. So, here's my guesses. It was really hard to tell because the crowd was scattered around much more than a normal home game. There were no sections that actually looked filled in. Very strange. 5,000 - Zips Fans 2,000 - ISU Fans (your band helped boost that number). But we appreciated the number of people who made that long trip. Those are some dedicated fans. 1,000 - Woke up that morning and put on some other shirt color and wandered to Infocision for something to do. (This number includes those who wear all of their Suckeye gear to a Zips game because they insist "It's GameDay for Ohio's school that really matters") Total - 8,000
