I'm going on gut in the land of overall (not East/West) MAC parity. From what I've seen, there are 2 or 3 teams at the top, two or three at the bottom (two of which the Zips have beaten) and a huge mass in the middle including the Zips. They may be the bottom of the middle. Even if they are at the bottom, it's still damn odd to see them not playing each other at the top of the conference.3 points

Albeit, this was before the early December signing period, but in 2016 East's Jemarulin Suggs & DeAndre Brimage verballed to UA for the 2017 recruiting class. A year later, East's DeVanier Floyd verballed right around this time. So I'm looking/hoping for verbals from East's Kyre Williams & DeeArius Reese any day now! Keep those local pipelines flowing, Bowden & Co.! ???1 point

Trey sprained his knee at the end of last season at the Q losing to the Zips. I spoke with him briefly after the game, he seems like a great representative of MAC basketball. Glad to see he is healthy and doing well. I posted this once, but it's worth posting again, CNN story about Trey in high school. Sorting through OU's schedule, it's tough to get much of a feel for what to expect. Some decent wins or close losses and some real thumpings on the other end. It is very strange having these teams play each other as middle of the MAC squads. Hopefully, they will soon change (FOR THE ZIPS). This is just the type of game the Zips have to win to maintain a reasonable record in the MAC.1 point
