  1. Just received word that Treon Sibley didn't qualify last year & will also be included in this year's class. Also received word that Jonah Morris will be on the field this fall!

  2. This is actually a complete mystery to me...again for a second year. On one hand a number of players got some valuable playing time in the system and then we also let a bunch of players go. So even if the talent level on the roster is improved, these guys are going to need time to gel. Especially with new point guards. I agree the non-conference schedule isn't overly exciting and not built to earn an at-large, but they will have a few opportunities to challenge themselves. And practically speaking, the team can't rebuild every year so hopefully going forward as this team matures the schedule will strengthen right along with them.

  3. The argument made was that, as an established mid-major, the next step was never taken in scheduling to increase our odds at taking that next step in the postseason. We are working to re-establish ourselves as a top mid-major, and this schedule is as good if not better on the top end than any schedule we've had in recent memory. The bottom end is borderline irrelevant because there is very little difference in teams ranked 200 and lower (towards 300). We've had a plethora of them on our schedules over the last 14 years, and there might not be much difference in the ones on this schedule. However, the difference is made up on the top end, and I think this schedule is great, especially with where we are at as a program. Nevada and Marshall made noise in the tourney - they will draw some attention, especially with Marshall at home. Clemson is ACC, and then the other Caymans game is against solid competition since the field is top to bottom strong.

  4. To be honest, I think we'll just complain about the schedule no matter what. There are 2 sweet 16 teams on there from last year. and some other good teams in the Cayman classic. Marshall won a game in the NCAA IIRC. I don't like the creampuffs, but they seem to be strategically scheduled before bigger games..which I guess makes sense. Expecting to see some "perfect" OOC schedule just might be too picky.

  5. You beat me to it B&G https://247sports.com/player/chris-mcdonald-jr-46036879 I've said it before, but Otis Mounds has been a great hire. The pass defense hasn't really been a concern since he's been here and he brings in some real talent every year. Seems TB has recognized it too with the promotion to passing game coordinator and recruiting coordinator. We need to do all we can do to keep ahold of him, because I bet some bigger programs will come calling before too long.

  6. I'm on my phone so I'll post the link later & update the first post, but I see on Twitter we got a verbal from another cornerback. Chris McDonald of South ridge HS in Miami, FL. This is a good get. He had 18 offers.

  7. https://www.uslsoccer.com/news_article/show/938760 1. As the two players that have played every minute of the season for Orange County SC, midfielder Aodhan Quinn and forward Thomas Enevoldsen have been arguably the club’s two most important players in 2018 and they made a key difference in the second half to allow the hosts to claim a point in a 2-2 draw with the Portland Timbers 2 on Wednesday despite a sluggish first half. Quinn recorded a goal and assist, while Enevoldsen moved back into a tie for the league-lead with his 12th goal of the season to equalize with six minutes to go as Orange County’s undefeated streak reached four games.

  8. It was made public in the spring although there was no big announcement as to the special teams coordinator change. TB may have done that so as to not embarrass his brother, but it was long overdue. Unfortunately TB forgot to make the change at OC. Damn it! Makes you want to drink, but I enjoy any chance to have a cold one.
