  1. I don't miss his 10 yard punts. Slike has done a dang fine job so far.

  2. Irons unsurprisingly named MAC East offensive player of the week. East/West Special Teams POTW were punters from Ohio and Ball State, who were both blown out by G5 nonconference opponents. If that doesn't tell you how bad this league has become, I don't know what will. Also, former Zip punter Jonah Wieland won those honors for the Bobcats. I had no idea he transferred to Ohio, and I have no idea why Ohio needed a punter who averaged 37.7 yards per punt.

  6. I rewatched the game and think he might have just been benched. I thought I saw him go into the medical tent after the fumble at the game, though. You are also forgetting Gest. We have not had good luck at the RB position in general at all. Just when you think we have it fixed.... Side topic, but I sure wish we knew what happened to SL McCall. He was reportedly a standout on defense during spring ball. We sure could use him on the DL.

  7. Welcome To Hoops Family Field This should be a great match. Marshall has scored 18 goals on the season or an avg of 3 goals per game. Last game Marshall played was Friday Sept 17 against #4 WVU. A game that ended in a 2-2 2OT tie in front of a Hoops Family Field attendance record crowd of 3,033. Im glad to see that last season was hopefully an anomaly for Akron, an uncharcatristic down season.

  8. I was chatting with an A’s homer on a car racing forum, and he said Chris threw a 30 pitch simulated game and may be back this season.

  10. What your saying has some validity but there is a huge difference between a PWO who may never get a scholarship & a blue shirt who has a scholarship after the 1st semester

  13. The problem may be societal, but it is also one of perception. In that area UA suffers greatly. Kent has a far better reputation in the eyes of Joe and Mary Ohio. It has had better leadership in touting its strengths, keeping financially viable and having a positive image in both sports and campus life. I have talked with several guidance counselors in greater Columbus and all have a higher opinion of Kent than UA. We have much to rebuild.
