  1. There were several panel discussions at the reunion dinner tonight. One of them featured Len Paul, Steve McNeese, Eric McLaughlin and Bob Huggins. There was another group that included Jim Tressel, Bud Wentz and Charles Guthrie. The final group was John Groce and Enrique Freeman. Joe Dunn was the moderator and interviewed the panelists. There will be another reunion on July 26, 2025. Mark your calendars now.

  2. Agreed. Fits the type of RB Moorhead typically utilizes in his offense, but probably a depth addition. That said, any time a homegrown talent is good enough to play here, bring him home.

  4. No, he was a backup and was one of the 4 (?) defenders that decided to preserve their eligibility and hit the portal 4 games in. Thomas did start 4 games in the middle of the 2022 season and played well. Once Holt was fully healthy, it knocked Thomas into a backup role. This past season, Jones and Lavea locked down the starting roles. On the bright side, Thomas hitting the portal allowed Moore to have an opportunity.

  5. Hasn’t seem to have done much this far in his career. Walk on at Michigan, walk on at Maryland (playing on special teams), few seasons of a couple hundred rushing yards at UT Martin. Depth piece which was needed, but probably at least 3rd on the depth chart and maybe builds some goodwilll with St Eds..

  6. I don’t disagree but it’s just sad that the new era of college football is killing one of the oldest rivalries in the country. Who would have ever thought Ohio State and Oregon would be playing a conference game this year??

  7. They had a short scrimmage. Harris looked great. Young will give Tavari a good push for the point guard spot. Gray is a bull of a basketball player.

  8. How about the 1976 playoff game at the bowl that we won in OT? Memory is kinda hazy, but it was COLD, snowing (OK, typical Akron weather). I was in the band, and I believe by the end of the night, there were more band members in the bowl than other spectators. It got the Zips to the Div II national championship game the next weekend. (That's another story).
