  1. Congratulations again to Emil for another well deserved honor Dyson Clapier is #18 on TDS mid season top 100 list Malik Henry is #99 on TDS mid season top 100 list in my slightly biased view, Mitch Budler and Beto Ydrach are both deserving of a spot on the top 100 list. https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college/upperclassmentop100/index.jsp

  2. It's not just the depth - it's the size. This team has at least 3 guards built like Tyler Cheese. Not only will we have the depth to keep up with anyone in the back court, we'll have the size & physicality to wear down the opponent. Wilson, Gray, and Nate Johnson should be able to draw quite a few fouls in the paint and hopefully finish through contact. On paper, this is probably Groce's most balanced team, and I can't wait for basketball season.

  3. Some notable bye week stats: - Finley leads the MAC in passing yards with 1,456. He is also tied for the most interceptions with 7. - Norton leads all WRs in the MAC with 541 yards. He is 2nd overall and trails only BGSU’s Fannin. - McCoy is 3rd in tackles with 65 total. D. Lewis and Fish are tied for 9th with 46 total. - Nunnally and Adler are tied for 9th in sacks with 3 a piece. - Golden-Nelson is tied for 7th with 4 passes defended. - Smith is 5th in field goals made. - Book leads the MAC in total punting yards and average per punt.

  4. It's the fact that those were our two options that looks bad. That's a failure of the Politically Appointed Board of Trustees. I for the life of me will never understand while alumni of this institution so willingly give a free pass to those politically appointed hacks. It's been nothing but failure from the BoT clowns, and you want to blame the AAUP...speaks volumes.

  6. But, being KSU they found a way to lose. 🤣Also not ready to anoint Ball State as a good team either, lost 37-34, Lost 45 to 42 to WMU and then beat Kent 37-35. That doesn't scream anything other than mediocrity to me.

  7. I took some time to review how many players our opponents are utilizing that came before the 2022 class. A few things come to mind: - Every team has at least 2 starting OL and 2 starting DL (most have 3 or more). - Every team has at least 7 starters. - Add “excluding Kent” to the statements above. - NIU has done the best job of retaining players. - 2022 is not listed, but the majority WMU’s most productive players come from 2022 and before. Taylor is currently the beneficiary of the previous staff’s recruiting. - This isn’t to serve as an excuse for losing, but does reflect how far behind the roster was when Moorhead took over. - Our OL isn’t elite, but they also haven’t been bad in MAC play. Makes me wonder how much better the OL would be had the overall recruiting and development been better under the previous staff. - An asterisk has been placed beside players that have started at least half the games this season. The other players listed are backups that see significant snaps. Akron DE - Adler * S - D.
