LOL Is that what happened to the "A" that was taken from the Rubber Bowl turf?

+1 +1 I don't ever remember him getting swallowed. If he didn't get the tackle he was always right there about to. Everyone that came to the games with me would say " if someone gets tackled with the ball #1 is right there."

GT interview on 1590 that I posted on earlier. raised-expectations-for-zips-football

GT was on 1590 WAKR yesterday talking about Zips spring ball. I didn't get to hear all of it since I was busy at work. I'm hoping to find a link to listen to all of it. What I did hear was George talking about the improvement from the QB's and how much Chapman has picked up the offense and is now pushing Woodson. He also touched on how this WR core could be really exciting. GT also went into how there are a lot of holes to fill this year but Bowden has brought a lot of talent to the program and groomed them ready to play. He kept saying there is reason for optimism this year with this team. I also caught him saying even with just a couple of weeks of spring ball and that he doesn't count that 1st week due to spring brake right after, That everyone is playing as a team. Something he could ever say about Icoach teams.

That is typically done so that the 1s play the 1s and the 2s play the 2s. So basically the 1st string offense and 2nd string defense are on a team and the 1st string defense and 2nd string offense are on the other. It doesn't always work out so sometimes you will see some cross over between the teams.

They were discussing this today on Mike and Mike. They said Mac schools attend these camps that Ohio State and other big ten schools put on. That it hurts kids by not giving them a single place to "shop" universities, as well as the G5 schools are not going to take everybody, so it allows the MAC to scout the talent and take the kids that get passed on.

+1

It also didn't give Lane his due credit on offense. For the first time in a long time, I'm good with the WR core. I'm also ok with Woody. Especially if he keeps progressing. The other items are legitimate concerns. I'm excited to see this version of the 2016 Zips offense.

Pittsburg is really good at looking to the MAC to find talent. My father and I were just talking about how we wouldn't be surprised if he got signed by the Steelers.

I came across this little article elevenwarriors.com

Why can't the local paper give us good articles like this? (I know ... its because this has a positive spin. I hate the Anti-Akron Beacon.)

Kato Nelson has signed WOOO HOOO

I got a chance to watch some of the NFLPA CB practices and everyone I seen they did a little piece on JB1. He really impressed the scouts with what we got to see every Saturday.... he is a heat seeking missile. On another note : What I 1st noticed when the practice came on was all the gold Z's on his teammates helmets. Maybe its just because I'm a Zips fan but they seemed to really stick out compared to all the other random stickers.
