Mobile is the highest payout of the mac 1st auto bids. It is the unofficial bowl for the champ since the motor city bowl. The reason (i presume) it stays unofficial is many times now our top team (or even teams) are able to move up in the bowls. Even to the Orange bowl. The G5 bowls can't promote a Mac champ vs Sunbelt champ ect when the champs are able to move up and make the conference more money. As far as Mobile that community really embraces that bowl and gives it a big time feel with all the festivities they put on. Its not a bad bowl to go to and its easy to access.

As part of this he did talk about how when he came here we had back to back 1 win seasons and had fired 2 coaches in 3 years was the worst team in D-1 and only had 56 kids on scholarship. He said that wasn't what the university or Akron deserve. He said Akron should be among the top of the conference every year. He talked about that our non-conference games can be harder than our conference so the beginning of the year can be tough. Woodside is the best qb in the conference. We can't let Toledo jump out ahead like we did in the first game.
