Read this aloud in my house, and there was complete agreement. Take aways: 1. one more reason to loathe and despise Ohio State. 2. I think that Temple game would have come out differently if say it were next week. But no point rehashing the past. 3. Big, big game next week that will tell the tale. 3:30pm at Info on what looks to be a perfect day for football. 4. I don't have a problem with these pay-out games. Yes, Auburn and Ohio State are brutal choices, and (unlike basketball where there's a chance a top D1 program could lose to the Zips) Power 5 schools should be begging/willing to write big checks to play Akron.

Agree. Tired of the constant negativity. The problem is not the University. The problem is the rampant availability of guns and young people urban and rural as well who fetishize firearms.

That had to be a moment when Arths career flashed before his eyes. From what I gathered from someone around me at the time was that the refs didn't reset the play clock after the recovered fumble (or started it early)..which I guess caused the quick snap on 4th and 1. To those in the stands it looked like another Arth screw up...maybe he was right but that was a grim few minutes. As he said after the game, DJ saved him.

Was that the year Zips lost 5 of their last 6 games?

Couple blown plays in red zone, but Zips had like over 500 yards of offense.

Fun game. Impressed how the team (DJ) held it together when things got really scary in the 3rd quarter. DJ had a good interview after the game. Maybe that crazy drive was an inflection point for Arth and the team. Go Zips!
