    Yep. My issue is with conflating the firing of Bowden and the hiring of Arth. I see those as separate decisions. I thought it was time for Bowden to go. However, I think Arth with his movie star looks, NEOhio background, and the blue blood Catholic school pedigree masked some fatal flaws in his coaching ability.

    Good majority of Akron alumni? Hardly. If you are going to come on here and be hateful and destructive and constantly rehash the firing of an average coach, then back up your statements with facts or just travel to Ravenna for a good time.

    Anything else to contribute today? Not to encourage you but if I recall, in that game, Zips new great hope started at the end of the game. Joe Dunn raved about how the ball just came out of his hand differently, etc. Forget his name, but he ended up going through the Akron QB meat grinder and ending up on the floor of a butcher shop.

    Sadly, I think the battered likely in pain Kato was put out as the sacrificial lamb for $1.2 mill. DJ Irons has a nice ring to it.

    A shout out to all of you guys who do the soccer threads. I'm too busy worrying about the "football" team instead of following the awesome "futbol" team. I didn't know they were playing MSU or that they won. I always come here to get my soccer info.

    Have to agree. Final game CMU at home? There's a crowd favorite, but I will be happy just being in any crowd come March. and 4 of last 6 games on the road.
