  1. Badly mismanaged last possession. Oh well.
  2. Why? Indeed.
  3. Incredibly difficult to win any lawsuit in the court of claims. That's the point of it. That being said, the lawsuit was spurious but the incident ridded the Zips of Gueye and KLac in one fell swoop.
  4. I saw him at a football game. From what I could see, he eats plenty.
  5. This post is solely for Clark: Who will be the Currie or Dailey of 2021-22?🙄
  6. Like anyone else, he is free to find greener pastures. I wouldn't read too much into a social media click
  7. Well if Blackie Brown says it...by all means give her random tweet more coverage.
  8. Zippity is a troll. 7 highly negative posts and only directed at the football program
  9. Exactly. Ultimately, what's the difference between a loss by 21 at Iowa State with a $800,000 pay out and a 40 point loss at Auburn with a $1.8 million pay out? A million $ left on the table. I bet the athletic department searches for the biggest pay out they can find.
  10. I meant to type $3.6million. that is the amount of $$ Akron received for playing those two games. It's not about exposure. It's not about anything other than the $$$$. Frankly, I don't think the players go to bed crying after a huge loss to Auburn or Ohio State.
  11. $3.6mill.
  12. https://www.beaconjournal.com/story/sports/college/university-of-tennessee/football/2021/09/27/tennessee-football-cancels-game-vs-army-vols-2022-schedule-akron/5847063001/ Falls into the category that any publicity is good publicity? These politicians need to get over themselves. "Disheartened. That’s the word Tennessee state Rep. Dave Wright (R-Knoxville), an Army veteran and University of Tennessee alumnus, used to describe his reaction to UT canceling its 2022 football game against Army. I’ll take it a step further. Yes, UT’s decision to replace Army with an easier opponent — Akron — for its Sept. 17, 2022, game is disheartening. It’s also dishonorable and shameful. And it shows how far Tennessee football has fallen that it chickened out of playing a service academy. It’s even more disgraceful when you consider that the 2022 Congressional Medal of Honor Society Convention will occur that week in Knoxville."
  13. The Pitt and NW seasons ended badly and frankly Bowdens total mismanagement of the clock almost cost Zips that game in Evanston. But...Zips were to play Nebraska as well. That is more realistic than AU and BlowSU.
  14. Read this aloud in my house, and there was complete agreement. Take aways: 1. one more reason to loathe and despise Ohio State. 2. I think that Temple game would have come out differently if say it were next week. But no point rehashing the past. 3. Big, big game next week that will tell the tale. 3:30pm at Info on what looks to be a perfect day for football. 4. I don't have a problem with these pay-out games. Yes, Auburn and Ohio State are brutal choices, and (unlike basketball where there's a chance a top D1 program could lose to the Zips) Power 5 schools should be begging/willing to write big checks to play Akron.
  15. Circled on my calendar
  16. ZipsNation needed that
  17. Irons needs some help but he will learn not to throw into coverage like that against a Top 10 team. 1.8 mill.
  18. Only you.
  19. Was hoping for at least a tie after the 1st quarter...missed by 14 secs.
  20. Did I see the OSU guy face mask the Akron player while running out of bounds
  21. Then the Zips defense takes the field.
  22. How many times have we seen that in MAC basketball?
  23. I wonder if BG played their first string because I doubt DJ sees the field this evening.
  24. But is he Catholic? On the bright side, PJ Fleck suffered a humiliating defeat. Trust the process.
