I think stats matter apart from "scoring margin." Good to know who is a bad FT shooting team...EMU is good from the line. And Freeman's been consistently at the top for the first 4 games.

WMU was scary in that 2nd half but maybe it was the BG defense? CMU lucked into Cleveland last year and came within a point of knocking out Toledo. They have a good coach. He's no Stan Heath. This will be a brutal week for the Zips. Buffalo is a shadow of its former self. They still offensive rebound like crazy but didn't see much else going for them.

They may have been without Zarzuela.. But still.

This is like the post of the year! (IMHO).

Groce was ALL ABOUT Tribble on the post-game show. Clearly, the coach's favorite. Tribble and Hankerson. From ABJ: Tribble reaching double figures was of particular note considering his defensive responsibilities. At different points this season, he's learned and then played every position except center, and he's often been tasked with guarding the opponent's best scorer. "The dude is just a stud in terms of intelligence," Groce said. "If you needed him to play center he could do it, probably. … He's just so versatile both defensively and offensively, and is willing to sacrifice for the team. I have great appreciation for Greg."

I don't recall an Akron MAC game that was truly over with 16 minutes left in the 2nd half. absolutely bizarre. I was like geez...there are 12 minutes left of this train wreck.

It's a pretty slow, rainy day when we are reliving an EMU game from 3 years ago. But that game is seared into my memory. A friend from work was at that game and I mentioned that to her (when I asked if she was going this Friday) and she's like "how do you remember that?" Channel crashed hard on the floor fighting off the last shot. Rob Murphy stormed onto the floor. A number of people around me had left. Of course, if we are really desperate we can discuss the Guard with Braids and the 2018 MAC quarterfinal v EMU.

I picked it up during overtime...which took FOREVER. the women's game is so odd, especially with the gamesmanship on the timeouts. I'm tempted to watch a replay of the Toledo/NIU game (well, just the 4th quarter) just to watch the Toledo coach's head explode as they blow a 17 point lead.

With Kent's OT loss to Miami tonight, Zips are only unbeaten team in MAC.

Didn't the Zips have fouls to give?
