Yes, a general early season malaise that will quickly turn around with more games like last night. Better being let down in December (See John Groce page 32) than in March (see Keith Dambrot page 20, 21, 23 and Footnote 8).
I sensed that even during the last game when he made some 3s. I knew it was a one-off streak. He hit three in a row and the rest of the night they were bricks. Same tonight.
After reading LoyalZips post earlier, I thought basically the same thing. Two words: "let down" in both verb and adjective form. The team has let down the fans and the fans feel let down after the crazy and exciting season last year. It's hard to keep that excitement rolling when this team is clunking 3s and going 6 of 15 from the line on any given night.
Toledo gave up 100 against Marshall.
Miami "gets a signature road win" against Bellarmine? Lairy had 30.
Ball State looking solid with win over Illinois State.
OT to this thread, but I have the upcoming Bradley game noted in my head as a must win on the road. My only fear is that Groce's Zips will have trouble winning on the road this season. The first 4 of 6 MAC games are away with the game in Muncie looming large.
Agree. When folks are interested enough, they show up and find their way through the labyrinth that is Akron. One can park one's car relatively close and walk right in. You want inconvenient, go to an Ohio State basketball game.
crowd that was there was pretty enthused and very excited for Hunter.
T Johnson had a few LCJ moves (minus the head jerk).
As others have said, having Freeman out causes all sorts of line up problems.
