It's a pretty slow, rainy day when we are reliving an EMU game from 3 years ago. But that game is seared into my memory. A friend from work was at that game and I mentioned that to her (when I asked if she was going this Friday) and she's like "how do you remember that?" Channel crashed hard on the floor fighting off the last shot. Rob Murphy stormed onto the floor. A number of people around me had left.
Of course, if we are really desperate we can discuss the Guard with Braids and the 2018 MAC quarterfinal v EMU.
I picked it up during overtime...which took FOREVER. the women's game is so odd, especially with the gamesmanship on the timeouts. I'm tempted to watch a replay of the Toledo/NIU game (well, just the 4th quarter) just to watch the Toledo coach's head explode as they blow a 17 point lead.
As long as it isn't a replay of February 8, 2020, at the JAR. "Spottsville missed them both!" One of the craziest, heart-pounding endings at the JAR. I swear a decent contingent of fans left before X (Part 1) hit the 3.
Right up there with Western Michigan game last year.
BG was in first place that year by a few games going into the final weeks and then collapsed. Zips had OU in that first game in Cleveland...that wasn't a gimme.
Right, after Cheese incident, Zips went to Buffalo and won easily. I also remember Groce being ejected in Buffalo his first season?
Haven't there been a number of close games at BG over the years. Gladden had a tip in to win and didn't Harney do the same. 2 total bricks from that BG player..

F'in Akron....I get so, so tired of losing to them. They have simply owned BG for two decades now. BG is just 5-34 since 2005 vs Akron! That is mind blowing! I never thought we'd see a conference foe dominate us like that. That kind of record is what you'd expect to be vs teams in the Top-25, not vs a fellow MAC member. SMH...
Miami, yes, but I didn't think Ohio would lose 3 in a row, especially first game home after two road losses.
Really, really happy Zips are 2-1, going into Friday's game.
Yes, a few on here are (as I like to say) whistling past the graveyard:
"To attempt to stay cheerful in a dire situation; to proceed with a task, ignoring an upcoming hazard, hoping for a good outcome."
