Whatever happens in the off season, Milwee has to go. I can live with about anything, but if he's back I'm out. I just cannot take watching this any more. I will donate the cost of my season tix to charity.

I went to a couple Canton Charge games to see Zeke when he was with the Red Claws. It was the D League then, but the level of hoops is the same. The league is all about hoisting 3's and is played more like an NBA Jam video game. Even when Zeke did manage to get position the ball almost never went into the low blocks. His points were all on stick backs and pick and roll dunks. It's a fun brand of basketball for younger kids and run and gun fans, but if you like half court sets and ball movement it is not for you. Zeke doesn't have the natural athleticism or quicks to be an NBA player, but the G league is just not a big man's league unless he can shoot like Dirk Nowitski. If my memory is correct, Grand Rapids signed Pat a few years ago. He was cut without ever getting on the court.

That's great. Have fun and bring back a victory.

I hope you are right, but if I was an Eagle fan I would be elated to finish the season against the NEO part of the MAC. Just remember, as much as we circle other teams on the schedule they all circle us as well. I am calling in every favor I am owed to try and get some fans in the stands for this one. Sadly, that means about 4 extra tickets. Go Zips!

There is truth to your statement, but having to hold on to beat two MAC teams that are terrible (no wins against FBS teams) does not inspire confidence. That 2nd half yesterday was brutal and common for this program. Bowden did take over the worst program in the country and he has dramatically improved it. My issue is that we routinely have games where we have no chance of competing with the opponent. Getting housed by a one win Miami team and being totally out classed by Buffalo point out why ZipsNation is getting upset. I am not saying fire Bowden, but some changes have to be made or we are always going to be in the 5-7 win area. Be honest, if Kent and CMU were not two of the WORST teams in NCAA football where would we be today? I am glad we are winning the Wagon Wheel year after year, but do you know how many DI wins Kent has in the past 4 seasons? Five. It is clear that Milwee needs to go. Also, if anyone can explain why a school in NEO with the best facilities in the MAC cannot recruit enough solid o-linemen so that we can have a running game, please do so? Go Zips!

Who has a guess as to attendance at the JAR for the Cedarville game?

Nothing like bulletin board material put up by the HC of a 1 win team (zero against I-A opponents).

Speaking of ghosts, where is Skip?

Completely unacceptable end to the first half.

Years ago is correct. Who runs the wildcat fron the 5 yard line? Milwee setting up MTB for a 1 yard gain. Just terrible.

It is amazing to me that Bowden has been unable to successfully recruit offensive linemen during his six classes. We are in the heartland of O linemen so there is no excuse to always have one injury derail the whole line. With the MAC TV schedule dropping some weekday night games later in the season when the weather is tougher to play in we need to be able to run. Kato couldn't complete passes consistently in perfect weather so just wait for rainy, windy fall nights when the wind is blowing.

EMU Army Ball State Toledo TCU Purdue I couldn't stand Nebraska back in the Big 8 days, but kind of rooted for them when they hired Pelini. I am glad they have restored my hatred for them. Go Boilermakers.

This could happen. They are 0-2 with a lot of tough teams remaining. They look like the same 4 win team they were last year just with a new coach. Frost may turn things around, but this is not the 1980's and they are not in the Big 8 anymore.

The BTN should be so much better than it is. I get that they are looking out for the Big Ten schools, but it is a low quality, homer network. They are having trouble spinning things this week though as the Big Ten has lost games to the following schools this week: Troy, Missouri, Kansas, BYU, Temple and the ZIPS.

This is the winning quote of the day. Please, no more RPI comparisons and no more break downs of how a 24-7 Zips team that didn't win the MAC Tourney can get an at large bid due to their 48 RPI. RPI was never a real factor in the selection process unless it was used to keep a mid major out or let an 18-14 P5 team into the dance.

Coney is listed on the Winnipeg roster (as is Jerome Lane). If any of the other listed Zips make rosters, it will probably be north of the border. https://www.bluebombers.com/players/a-j-coney/163897/

Thanks for posting this. The NIT is a joke. Under the current system the MAC is a one bid conference to the NCAA and now a potential no bid conference for the NIT. The Rockets got screwed. It will be interesting to see if the MAC issues a statement but I don't have much faith in that happening.

Cotton started jawing with the Kent bench around the under 4 minute time out. I didn't see if someone bumped him or what prompted it, but he was right by the Kent team as they set their little chairs on the court. He got into it again at the next time out as he ran over to the Kent bench to jaw some more on his way to our bench. He just would not let it go. Eventually, Ivey kept him away from the Kent players to avoid a technical. When De la Rosa fouled out and lost his mind he started yelling at everyone, especially Cotton. After the game, as teams were lining up one of the Zips asst coaches pulled Cotton aside and spoke to him; however, he was still fired up. De la Rosa was not going to let it go and we are lucky nothing more serious happened. Both coaching staffs should have probably sent their problem children to the locker room to avoid a dust up during the handshake. I did not see what prompted the Kent asst. coach to flip out, but as usual Senderoff did nothing to contain his team. Great win for the Zips and congrats to Malcolm and Rec Center on going out with a huge W in their last home game. It was great to hear they are both working on degrees and have plans beyond hoops. It was such as good night that I am not bringing up anything K-lac related.

Can you elaborate? I've heard it was his not staying composed after he's taken out of games after bad turnovers, etc like the BG game. Thanks.

There is a lot of truth to this, but Wood, Treadwell and Romeo could all rebound and defend in the paint. What they lacked in height they made up with athleticism and high basketball IQ's. We have nobody who can do that right now. Our interior defense is nonexistent and we give up a lot of back door cuts due to inexperienced players and no rim protector. I am continually amazed that more MAC schools do not feed the ball into their bigs like Ball State did against us.

Clark is on the money. It's BG, an unexpected upset or an o'fer for the season.

I hope things move a lot faster and more successfully in Akron than D.C.
