Finally running on first down for positive yards.

We need to get positive yards on first down. All we do is throw bombs. Incomplete. Then run and face third and long. It’s on our defense to win this game.

I believe in Bowden and have given him a pass because he has changed the expectations for Zips football. The glaring problem has been offensive execution and for that I have blamed Milwee. At this point the focus shifts to Bowden as he has not made an improvement in that area. Something has to change on offense and if not, something bigger has to change. Unfortunately, that means Bowden.

Pathetic offense, lack of discipline, horrible play calling and execution. Our defense is good but the offense is horrible.

Peterson needs to spend time on the bench.

Getting screwed. Zips gotta use that to fuel their hate fire.

That’s the way I read it. He comes next year as a junior.

Impressive athlete. This team is going to be more athletic than many power 5 schools. If they can buy in on the defensive end watch out.

Iowa State DBs are such good tacklers. I was impressed by them last year and very impressed today.

Kyron Brown is due for a big play

Montgomery is a difference maker. So tough to bring down and quick in the hole. So far our defense has been ok but the offense is sputtering after a decent start.

They assume they have more talent because they are Big 10. What I saw was a Zip team that was much faster than NW and just as physical. We have had plenty of speed the last few years. Now we have the physicality to go with and more importantly, quality depth. Coach Stroud put four DE's in on the play that forced the fumble for a TD toward the end of the game. Shows off our depth, especially on defense. The problem area with this team is OL. Get that solved and we will be tough to beat. Oh, and Kato Nelson grew up in this game. He is now ready to lead this offense.
