The upper reserved section at $25 now just seems way overpriced. The first 3 or 4 rows have the railing in the way of the view. It always seems like a very sparse crowd in those seats

Well, I just checked the ticket website. All tickets for the rest of the season have gone up by $5. GA $15, Upper reserved $25, Lower reserved $35, Lower center reserved $55. It seems like the ticket office knows how good this team is now

Devries went 6-10 from 3 in that game, he is a stud. That must've been a weird day on campus at Drake yesterday. The game had an attendance of 4,069. I bet you more people on campus cared about the game than the 1 on 1 debate last night

The fact that we are having this discussion in the BASKETBALL forum, proves that winning isn’t the cure all to attendance. This conversation happens all the time in the football forum. But if we are talking about this when the basketball team is one of the best in Akron history, maybe there is more to improving attendance than just being good

I've said it before on here, but UA doesn't prioritize sporting events (other than football) for students. Students honestly don't even know games are going on most of the time. I think the focus on social media this year has been good, but if you ask 10 students on the Tuesday that classes resume if they are going to the game that night they will say "Oh, I didn't know there was a game tonight" from more than half. I think how bad the football team is does discourage some students from attending other sports simply because they think we are bad at everything. If the school did more things to excite students about sports more would show up

Exactly. Minor League Baseball is a good comparison to Mid Major college sports. Both have some die hard fans, but a majority of the people that go to MiLB games go for something else. Whether its a theme, giveaway, or whatever, the entertainment is what makes people come out. We can do more entertainment at games without taking away from the actual product on the floor. The in-game experience hasn't been the same since Covid, and that really does make a difference, especially if casual fans came back to one game after covid, and went home with the mentality of "I can just watch this at home"

The JAR ticket prices are just crazy. You’ve got $10 GA, $20 upper level chair back, $30 lower level non mid court, then $50 lower level mid court. Those prices are just too far apart, especially the last 2. There really isn’t that much of a difference in seating to be charging that much

Assuming the matchups are made by humans, there should be no chance we get anyone other than JMU. We have 3 very winnable games before we get to the Can’t game. We should be 5-0 in MAC play and the clear best team when they decide

If we can get 6k for the Kent game we should get at least 3k for every other game the rest of the year
