  1. Damit, Tom beat me to it again...............................
  2. I don't see the Zips betaing tOSU in 07, and i do like to watch their games. However, i can not root aginst the zips regarless of the odds. Besides, we beat them once before (1894) odds are we can do it again at some point.
  3. Zips jerseys available in a public store!!!!Well boys, times have really changed
  4. How about tickets only. What is the best way for a Carolina resident to get tickets for the Akron section? BTW I would love to see Zippy show up dressed as the Dog Whisperer!
  5. NCState has always had an inferiority complex towards Carolina and their rivalry with Duke, and they have always been inconsistent. They can beat FSU one week and lose to the Tar Heels the next. They obviously don't view us as a threat, stating that a win over us means nothing. But trust me.................... a loss to us will mean EVERYTHING, and you think they want to get rid of Amato now! Go ahead Wolfpack........ keep dreaming about that national championship. Life is what happens while you're making other plans. WallyB Carolina resident but Zip fan at heart!
  6. At Marshall the see Herass as 2 words
  7. Capn'Will the Rubbers' seats last another 5 years? I didn't think so in the late 8o's!
  8. yep and he's campaigning for building a retractable roof on cleveland browns stadium in hopes to attract a super bowl to cleveland. He's not a very big Charlie Frye fan though. Him and GP1 should be best buddys then. BTW, Tim Couch sucked. Tim Couch! Some lessons are learned the hard way, and that is what the pre-draft workouts are for. Couch sucked in his first workout and asked for another one with the Browns. He prepared him self and did great. No wonder he was occasionally prepared in his pro-career. To compare him to Price and the Cavs that got eliminated by a one-man army is ludacris. Those guys consistently gave it their all and just barely lost in several game 7's. The only consistent thing about Couch was his inconsistency.
  9. Yeah, we wouldn't want to promote a store that could still be sell those jumping penis' Huh? How about a translation.Apparently the Odd Corner has cleaned up its act since the early 9o's. Guess you had to be there. They sold a wide variety of trinkets back in the day including wind-up/jumping penis' and vagina's; made popular in the movie Pump up the Volume (Christian Slater). Then again, this was the era of the Katherine Place and May Day riots. It was all fun and games til the beer ran out.............
  10. Yeah, we wouldn't want to promote a store that could still be sell those jumping penis'
  11. Ah yes........ and Marcus Vick goes undrafted. Somethings are just right with the world!
  12. The paw has 5 digits because clemson sopyrighted the 4 digit paw before PSu did. That's a stupid workaround to the copyright. It's like UMKC was revealed to be the only college allowed to use a kangaroo, so Akron responds by adding a third eye to Zippy. Roo's have retractable balls for fighting. They look like they're dangling from a string, maybe we could add a mechanical pair to zippy. Balls up.......... it's GO time! Blow the Whistle!
  13. The paw has 5 digits because clemson sopyrighted the 4 digit paw before PSu did. Isn't there a grandfather clause for that. Besides how many schools use that design. I know several HS teams that still do, and Ohio U. did for awhile as well.
  14. It's a slow tme of year, so here's some hummor!! West Virginia student caught spying, taking notes at Marshall
  15. Beanies is very original, i like it, and i'd buy one!Cameron has it's crazies. why can't we be the Buchtel Beanies!
  16. 1. PSU is also light years ahead of where they were in 2004. That was one of PSU's worst teams going 4-7 but still pulling out a 48-10 win .2. Paul P did not tear any ligaments in his knee. His knee is back to 100% and he participate din spring drills. He did sit out of contact drills as a percaution. He should be in great shape by game 1. PSU linebacker depth is amazing.3. While Getsy might get his yards i don't think he will light up the secondary. This secondary is more talented then last years. They just lack in experience.Sure you beat us 48-10 and that is putting it nicely, JoePa chose not to run up the score and i have great respect him and the PSU program. The game was over after PSU's second touch down (i believe) when your running back proved our defense was just.... too slow. THat was it game over, everything after that was just theatrics. As for your defense, well beyond Charlie we were pretty 1 dimensional at that point. New coach, new system, new recruits, etc. etc. THere was a big difference by the end of the season. Still I was not overly impressed with PSU's defense in that game. Although they are now much improved. I still see PSU winning, but I beleive the Zips will be a lot more competitive.Ps. The paw of a Nittany Lion doesn't have 5 digits unless they are severly imbred, and the dew claw doesn't make an impression. Seriously, you guys need to do something about that, i like the old design much better.

Beyond the early away games this looks like a great and manageable schedule. PSu(L) JoPa will be armed and dangerous this year. Depends whether or not last year was a rebuilding year, and how far they came. Don't underestimate the Mean Green as we hope others will us! Great pick/name for the home opener! I like it a lot.CANT (W) Let's face it. Even if we are blowing the first half of the season like we did last year this is essentially another home game due to proximity. If for no other reason than "It's Cant!" the east side should be packed! UC (W) Good match up, hopefully we'll play a team similar to the one they fielded last year and still come out with a win.Summary:>A VERY Optimistic 5-1, but hey I was around for the Faust years.>too many road games but it leaves us with a good chance for a great record, which could lead to good attendance in late autumn????

  19. I haven't heard that name in forever.............. Why is he never mentioned.Bettter ?, who besides J.Taylor and Dwight Smith and Robert Lyons have been in the pros?
  20. Dome the BOwl!Dome the BOwl!
  21. Call me an optimist..........or declare my expectations low. But I still think we're moving forward!Points to consider1) The OOC schedule is better than i expected. I was anticipating a D1aa home game, but was surprised to see N.Tx. Sure they've fallen about as bad as the Bugs but they've also enjoyed a lot of success and exposure over the last decade. At least we didn't pull a lesser known team, say ULaf.2) Win some more games, maybe another championship, increase attendance and TV coverage will follow.3) Remeber, we've just started kicking ass! The rest of the MAC still believes it was all a fluke. Let that be our rally cry.4) They can say what they want........... Still doesn't change the fact that WE ARE :macc:Ammendum: No vibes down here in Carolina about NSC and the Amato boys yet. As they emerge I'll forward them on the this board. Really looking forward to that game.
