  1. Originally committed to Alabama. Transferred to UCONN and saw a total of 6 snaps in 2 years. Talent is definitely there, but the lack of production is concerning. Portal offers from Akron and Kent.
  2. Agreed. I thought Chambers seemed solid as a RT, but was sometimes out of his depth at LT. Kindred definitely has more natural ability. I think the HS OL recruiting has been strong and we need those guys to become regular contributors soon. Landers, Williams, and Davis already have (did) from the first class. Would like to think James, Morris, and Mann will do the same in 2024. while Williams and Davis continue to progress. Unfortunately, there’s just no quick fix to the OL. Year 3 should prove to be the best (although that may not be saying much) in JoeMo’s tenure. I think we’re two in vs two out on scholarship OL and have offered over 20 portal OL. So have to think at least a few more guys are on their way out.
  3. Can’t say I’ve heard of him. Is this the same kid? HUDL If so, I’m pretty sure he’ll be a PWO.
  4. My best guess if it was a grades issue, they may not trust that he will return and keep things in good standing. Might also be an admissions issue if grades were a problem before? I also assume the staff is high on James and Morris. If Blanchard comes back healthy and one of the two redshirt freshmen are ready for significant snaps, we should be fine there. That’s a lot of “ifs” though.
  5. I feel fine about the starting OL, but the depth is concerning. And there is no way we make it through an entire season unscathed there. Safety is also a question mark simply because it’s unproven at this level. Similar to our DL last year. To me, QB is the position that is going to make or break us.
  6. Something is off here. Felt like a situation where, at bare minimum, it was a mutual agreement for him to leave. Seeming more and more like that.
  7. The roster isn’t complete and some of the players below may not even be here come 2024 kickoff, but if the season started today here’s my best guess of what we’d look I’ve added the year as well as transfer portal (TP), JUCO, HS, or Arth beside where the players have come from. OFFENSE QB: Finley - R. Junior (TP) Bullock - R. Junior (TP) RB: Simmons - Senior (TP) M. Williams - R. Freshman (TP) WR: Norton - Sophomore (HS) Wilson - R. 8. I haven’t seen anything about that outside of here. Hope it happens, but not banking on it. I imagine he still has some P5 options on the table.
  9. Mizzou’s DL is pretty stout this year. They tend to go with quicker players on the edges and managed to produce 20 sacks solely from their DL this season. Seems Wesolak was moved to LB and it was not a good fit. I imagine Zips would move him back to DE. Especially with coach Wart extending the offer.
  10. Just a stark contrast between a 2021 3 star vs a 2023 2 star. If social media is any indication, we haven’t offered Labas. I’m curious to see if that changes with Labas working out with Maendler. I know JoeMo respects what Maendler has to say about QBs.
  11. Mizzou DE with 3 years of eligibility. Was a 4 star recruit out of HS by several services. Hardly saw the field at Mizzou, but would be a nice addition for us.
  12. JUCO OL.
  13. OL from UTSA with two years of eligibility.
  14. 🤔
  15. Seems that way according to his Twitter. The official announcement will probably be made with whoever the other new coaches turn out to be.
  16. Orie Sahlfeld. He was the assistant this past year.
  17. NCAA is going to lose in court just about every time. This seems like a way of saving face. Im guessing the “temporary” rule will soon become permanent. I think a new governing body will eventually be needed.
  18. Bump for position update.
  19. Bump for updated position.
  20. TE grad transfer from Syracuse. 2 years of eligibility.
  21. Northwestern State OL. 1 year of eligibility.
  22. D3 OL with two years of eligibility left. We landed Ben Frank from a D3 last year.
  23. JUCO S originally from OH. Formerly a 3 star recruit that committed to Michigan State out of HS, hit the portal, and ended up at JUCO.
  24. RB from Maryland. Makes me think one of our currents RBs will be hitting the portal.
  25. Have some extra time today? Check out Roggow’s HS FILM. He has a bit of a funky throwing motion, but has a nice release at the end. Manages to get it out cleanly and throws a catchable ball. He has some mobility to him too. Roggow is more polished as a passer than Wasel coming out of HS, but probably not as much upside if we’re comparing the two. I guess you could say higher floor and lower ceiling. Still need a proven QB to compete this year, but I think Roggow is a better option than the 2 QBs we had transfer out.
