We will be fine, I am just more annoyed than anything else because that's a good team, but nobody we shouldn't have handled, and we don't get another shot at them at The JAR. They are probably a few easy MAC wins away from Top 25 discussion now.
Miami made an adjustment in the final minutes and basically took Tavari away, doubling him and forcing someone else to beat them. I would imagine our future opponents may take notice of that, too.
24-8 points in the point so far in favor of Akron. Need to take advantage of that further in the 2nd half.
Miami probably looks at Suder only having 2 points and only being down 3 as a good sign.
I'm betting we see a push soon to move to 16 teams. Teams with first round byes are now 1-7 over the last two seasons. Some coaches have started to talk about the difficulty of so much time off.
They do a really good job with youth group experiences. I coached my son's team last season and we did one. They were able to do the high-five tunnel pregame and scrimmage each other at halftime. They all really enjoyed it and the Zips staff was great. I hope they keep looking for ways to connect with kids - it really does matter.
