30 minutes between games. my Toledo friends are very shaky. Sleepy 11 am start vs a Kent Read team that is 5-1 the last two years in CLE. Our boys need a fast start for a big boost of confidence. Go Zips!

Mark it Down: Zips will make the championship game. Crystal ball gets foggy at that point. Truly believe they will find their way past Miami and OU.

My biggest worry is they are in their own heads now. They need to find their mojo and that will only come if they play well and win Thursday. They know teams are gonna pack it in on D because of the shooting problems. I like Ali elbow to elbow and let him get inside the zone that they know they’re gonna see. He can drive, shoot, drop it down to Freeman or kick it and hope some 3s go in. But it’s not rocket science, it comes down to making shots. They’re gonna have to shoot at a higher % than we’ve seen recently. It’s the only way Freeman and Ali will have any room to operate. The recent struggles don’t change the fact that the MAC stinks. OU is hot but they’re still mediocre at best. Toledo is good but they haven’t won this tourney since Reagan’s first term. Go Zips!

Let's be honest. The Zips in their current fragile state playing a KSPoo team with nothing to lose and looking for revenge would not have been ideal. Beating anyone won't be easy at this stage but Miami presents a good chance to get a win and some confidence. Akron is the most talented team in the conference. I'll stay positive until it's over. Groce needs to push the right buttons this week. The swagger needs to be located.

A win might put us in a 2/7 game vs. Can't. A loss and we likely avoid them according to the scenarios presented in another thread. On one hand, a game vs them might be the elixir to get the Zips fired up. On the other hand, games against your rival take a lot of energy. Last night was a real kick in the butt.

Groce has been around long enough. There won’t be any outward panic but he’s gonna have to get in his own team’s head and shake things up. This is such a golden chance to make the dance but time is almost out to find that groove.
