Two best players are no-shows tonight. This team needs a spark. This is 3 straight duds. Buffalo is too awful to beat anyone

Worst case they are in a first place tie with Sewer U coming to Akron Friday night. I’ll take that.

Friday will be six weeks since the injury. Hopefully Coach has a positive update this week.

A win Tuesday would be a giant leap toward the top seed and the MAC regular season title. Two-game lead with the tiebreaker with five to play. That said, Zips are going to have to shake the shooting funk and play much better than they have recently. Next three are going to be big challenges.

Big game today especially since OU peed the bed last night. Also a trap game with the game on the Michigan (yuk) border Tuesday.

Hopefully it’s a no-nonsense win. Guessing Buffalo makes a game of it for a half+. Love for someone to ask coach for a latest timeline on Nate Johnson’s return. Would be nice to see this team at full strength for at least a week or two before the tournament.

Sure would be nice to get N. Johnson back with a few games left before the tourney. Didn’t JG say 6 weeks and it’s been 4? JMU was the better team but if Akron shoots just badly and not atrociously badly :), it’s a tight game close to the end. Zips were throwing rocks and down 45-42 midway through the second half.

Good stuff all. I just want to see UA pop up in the bracket and look forward to March Madness. I think Groce is the guy to navigate this group through three games in Cleveland. Fun times. Hang a banner and make the dance!

This season is great and will continue to be great. Love this team. Given that, how worried are you that Groce will head for a bigger program on the heels of a 25- to 27-win season? Holtmann is almost certainly out at Ohio State and there will be other vacancies no doubt. Michigan is dreadful too. Would hate to see him go but ….

JMU would be a quad 1 win if I read correctly. No MAC implications but would be a nice gravy win.

BG shot 33% and it took two OTs to beat them. Zips play their game they’ll beat CMU by 12-15.

A.A. did a postgame interview with Freeman and he didn’t seem troubled about anything but Groce said they would have to see how he feels tomorrow (meaning today). Groce also said they are still hopeful about getting N. Johnson back before the end of season. That would be a huge addition.

Hopefully Ali Ali is ok after rolling the ankle late in the Toledo game. Glad they have the extra day off.
