  1. Quit settling for threes and drive the damn ball you're in the double bonus
  2. I'm even going to complain about the fouls on Ohio. This is ridiculous
  3. And there it is. 4 fouls one real. Unbelievable. Way to change the game refs
  4. Of our remaining games I'm not sure which wouldn't be considered a bad loss, maybe one of the away games at Ohio, EMU or Buffalo? Just looking ahead at seeding a little bit if the Zips would go a very disappointing 4-5 over their last nine games, Ball State would need to go 7-2 including beating the Zips in Akron to overtake them. Anyone else would have to go at least 8-1. Would take a pretty epic collapse even only halfway through the season to lose that #1 seed. Ball State currently holds the second seed by one game and then there are 7 teams that are 5-4 or 4-5!
  5. Its correct but it includes only games against Ohio. And only the last 10 at that.
  6. Akron Zips (19-3, 9-0 MAC) at Ohio Bobcats (13-7, 5-4 MAC) Saturday February 4 • Ohio Convocation Center Athens, Ohio • 12 p.m. ET TV/Video: CBS Sports Network (ASN) Live Stats: GoZips.com/Schedule - Live Stats Radio: Akron-IMG Sports Network - Steve French (PxP) and Joe Dunn (Analyst) WARF 1350 AM (flagship), iHeart Radio, TuneIn.com/Akron Zips All-Time Series Akron Leads: 40-37 Last Meeting: Akron 83, Ohio 68, January 16, 2017 at James A. Rhodes Arena The team who I believe has been our biggest rival gives the Zips another test. Unbelievably there are the only team in the MAC that the Zips have beaten by more than ten points, I think this one will be a lot closer with the absolute possibility of an upset. Have at it Zips fans
  7. In the spirit of the thread - FIFY.
  8. I'd love to the team to be ranked but no where have I seen anyone mention the Zips as a bubble team. When your best "win" is a loss to Gonzaga, probably means MACC or bust. The MAC is definitely not helping this year.
  9. Whew that was a "fun" one. As long as the majority of the people are right on question one who cares about the other ones? :-) 8 Quiz winners tonight, MDZip finally gets his own right plus Joe Akron (nice to see he's finally paying attention), AK-Rowdy4Life, tboned, bigzipguy, Blue & Gold and ZIPSMOM2 who has a right to be more to be proud of than any of us. They were close questions, Zips were 11-28 on threes for 39.3% for the over, and the crew of Cheatham (9), Jackson (game high 22) and Ivey (6) narrowly edged out Big Dog (21), Williams (3) and Robotham (10), 37 to 34. And did anyone get my play on words on question one, Fat Pants Sizes (Huskies)? Bueller? Anyone? Keep rolling Zips!
  10. Antino baby!
  11. At this point NIU has scored only 18 second half points
  12. Far from over. NIU is not going to stay this hot
  13. I just got a whole new level of respect for Jerod Cherry after reading this.
  14. Sorry for being a little late still recovering from the Buffalo game. :-) Took a few things from GoZips.com for some background and indeed the Zips last trip to DeKalb was a loss. Any post Buffalo let down in what has historically been a tough place for the Zips to play? Akron Zips (18-3, 8-0 MAC) at Northern Illinois (13-8, 5-3 MAC) Tuesday, January 31 • NIU Convocation Center DeKalb, Ill. • 8:00 p.m. ET TV/Video: WatchESPN/ESPN3 - Andy Garcia (PxP) and Carl Armato (Analyst) Live Stats: GoZips.com/Schedule - Live Stats Radio: Akron-IMG Sports Network - Steve French (PxP) and Joe Dunn (Analyst) WARF 1350 AM (flagship), iHeart Radio, TuneIn.com/Akron Zips All-Time Series: Akron Leads: 23-11 Last Meeting: Northern Illinois 80, Akron 79 - Feb. 13, 2016 - NIU Convocation Center, DeKalb, Ill.
  15. And the MAC East player of the week! In Northeast Ohio nothing is given everything is earned. Well earned.
  16. And the only teams we have left are average teams. Depending on what happens above us probably four wins from being ranked.
  17. And UNCW lost a game and poof they're gone. It's so fragile.
  18. He actually ended up being the teams leading scorer his senior year. I'd also include Jimmy Conyers in that group too. I still don't know if any of them made quite the leap it appears Kwan has.
  19. On those types of videos you can click on the 30 second mark and skip all the ad.
  20. Yeah but I hate seeing those types of fouls. Olynk-ing someone is too possible.
  21. Zags look to be heading to 22-0 and a possible #1 ranking and have beaten 17 of their foes by 20 or more. The group they have not include Akron, Arizona, Iowa State and Florida. Of course I also noticed they did not play a single non-conference game away from home. They really are acting like a high major. :-) So the Zips may have played a team ranked #1 at some point during the season the past two years.
  22. Keene with 41. That's the first CMU victory at Kent in 20 years.
  23. You're almost right. After Kwan hit that third consecutive three at about 7:00, the only others were a layup and a three from Antino late. Everything else was free throws.
  24. Ended 7-13 and the Zips really needed it, subtract his contribution and the rest of the team was 4-18.
