He is 6'11" 260. Shoots threes and reverse layups. Yes, he will be a frosh and need to develop, but I predict a better first year than either Zeke or Big Dog. He has the right size and sure looks athletic.

I think he was class of 2016 and went to JUCO. I don't know how he slipped through the cracks. Great size and seems to have all kinds of skills. Shoots 3's, passes, reverse layups, blocks. Can even jump. Either poor academics or something in his background? He looks like a guy who would dominate the MAC.

I love this guy. Size. Moves. Bangs the boards. Must have had some serious academic issues, he is high major material for sure.

I have to agree. While I did 30 years in the liberal NYS Courts, truth be told, that is a severe sentence for a first offense (IF it was the first). Usually a juvenile will be declared a Youthful Offender and the conviction does not count as a Felony. Aside from the fact that the female Judge could be a crusader, sounds very severe for a case with no permanent injury.

I am going to drop back to what I said previously. KD always recruited role players. JG is going after ATHLETES. lets see what happens. All is not lost. Yet.

Somewhere out there are two or three REALLY good players who would jump at the chance to play D1 ball. Just like the football coach found us when we had that job open. JG just has to find them.

I hate to ruin your depressed state of mind, but one thing remains true: There are just so many D1 scholarships out there. Way more potential players than slots. He will recruit some good players.

The point here is that no one ever guarded him on the perimeter as he was not a threat to take a shot. IF he had been a threat, maybe our offense would have been stronger.

Three points are three points. He went 4-6 on threes in the tourney. I have to assume KD would not allow him to shoot.

I can see where that is different. But KD recruited these kids as a representative of the University, on the University's money. It appears to me that his is in fact poaching, which is just wrong. UA paid to get those guys on board, the money did not come out of KD's pocket. Which is probably why they have to sit out a year under NCAA rules. To at least discourage poaching.

Which really misses the point.

It is wrong, in my opinion, to take the players with you. While it is true that he recruited them, he did so FOR the University, using money SUPPLIED by the University, offering scholarships PAID by the University. They are people are are not owned by anyone, but if this was a matter of contracts law, they would be obligated to UA and NOT to him.

There was a Judge who told a defendant complaining about the length of his sentence: "Your Parole Officer has not been born yet". We are in a similar situation. At the moment, we have NO idea who is going to be on this team next season. We just have to wait and see. It might be what people are posting above, it might be 5 or 6 brand new names we have never heard. It might be fair to say that our next point guard has not been offered yet.
