I wasn't really talking about you. There are a few here it applies to. I agree about the band wagon part but you have to keep up with the Joneses. The ones that started it are the real issue IMO. This hurts the MAC and other smaller conferences the most along with the lower rated players. Just another stupid move by the NCAA.

I'm surprised we haven't heard much about Boxen. Is the transfer OL from Kentucky still on the team? I have seen nothing on him. If he left with Funk, wouldn't he have to sit out again since it is technically another transfer or was he never officially enrolled at UA?

You would be half wrong. Meyer only did them to keep up and he thinks this is terrible because of the smaller kids that won't get to be seen. The larger named kids will always be seen but it is the smaller kids that are really hurt by this. Harbaugh was the one that went to major schools in Florida and had a camp. He created the issue even though most on here will not agree because the hatred is bigger than their ability to be rational when it comes to certain things.

Samuel is more of a slot/rb hybrid than a power back. I see Weber taking over by mid season if not sooner. I am also surprised that Dunn stayed. He has been passed over twice. Obviously wrong place wrong time as one was a 2nd round pick and the other will be a 1st round pick. He has looked good when given a chance late, other than fumbles. Not sure what Ball has as he gotten very little playing time. However, he is built like an LB. I'm hoping the new OL gives him a chance to prove himself.

Dude is built like a tank but never got a chance due to so much talent in front of him. Great kid by all accounts.

Anyone that thinks recruiting ranking mean "nothing" is wrong. I usually look at offers over rankings but they often go hand in hand. If a 2-3* guy has offers from Bama, MSU, UM, OSU, FSU, Florida, etc, I assume the rankings are wrong. On the other hand if a 4* has only MAC. lower B10 or non P5 offers I also assume the rankings are wrong. You may notice that the same teams that have the highest rated recruiting classes are usually the same teams in the top 20 every year. No, recruiting rankings aren't the end all be all, but they mean something. As for taking JUCO and transfers, that is perfectly fine. No issue and understandable why it is happening. I have no problem only taking 10 freshman. However, when we are the best, and in many cases, the only D1 offer, that is an issue. Sure, there are a few exceptions here and there, Nelson for example, where they had other options, but for the most part UA is the best offer. That's a tad concerning IMHO.

If tweeting was such a big recruiting violation, then what is stopping rival schools from putting out mass tweets to athletes considering their rival schools acting as their fans? Hell, let's all tweet Can't recruits as Can't fans. It will get them in trouble according to some logic. Personally I would never tweet a recruit.

It was a good time and for much of it we were D2. It didn't matter though.

Should be 2. He redshirted and played a year. After the year sitting out he should be a junior.
