Sorry, I meant all schools. I travel all over the southeast and gulf states. Whenever I see someone wearing a collared shirt, polo, etc, I assume they are coaches or admins. I don't care if it's Akron, Bama, Texas, Florida, etc. My post had nothing to do with Akron. I am just saying that most fans and students wear tees and jerseys. That's just my experience. BTW, anyone that judges a school by their athletic teams is clueless IMHO. I guess all the Ivy league schools suck as do a lot of good schools. Sports is sports, academics is academics. I am just as proud of my Akron degree on my resume as I am of my OSU degree. I could care less about sports when I am discussing business and degrees.

He is RS. He is not in the doghouse. He lacks blocking skills. He is a big back in the mode of Hyde. He loves it there. If he transfers it will be because he was passed over by a great Freshman in E. Elliott. His time will come. Hyde is graduating and Brionte will only be a Soph.

Their are other divisions already. Akron chooses to be where they are as do the rest of the MAC teams.

I agree with you. However, usually the MAC team had been looking at that game for a year, while the B10 team looks at it as a scrimmage. Sad, but true. It's not just the B10 either. Look at the SEC. They play weak OOC schedules too. If Chatt or some of those other teams had Auburn uniforms on, Bama would have beaten them 100-0. Anyone that thinks that that was the same scUM team that OSU beat Saturday was the same team Akron should have beaten are clueless. Sorry but it's true.

JT is a great guy. Most don't know the whole story of what went down and only want to hate. He is great for Akron and is a local guy. I don't think he is Presidential material, but I could see AD possibly.

The MAC will never get any respect. As bad as conferences like the B10 are, they are still far superior to the MAC from top to bottom. NIU will go a major bowl game and get smoked by some other major conference middle tier team. Some people get all excited when a MAC team competes with or beats a B10 team, but you need to remember that to the B10 team they are completely looking past the MAC team and for the MAC team, that is their season and they are very prepared for it. As I have said before, transitives don't work in sports. it is quite often that team A beats team B and then team B beats team C and then team C destroys team A. Do you remember the Cincy Sugar bowl game a couple years back when they were top 5? Many saw it coming, but Cincy fans were convinced they would win that game. The good thing that the MAC is doing is they are scheduling tougher OOC games. Until the MAC starts winning those with some consistency, they won't get respect. Of course the teams they are scheduling look at those as bye weeks. Sooooo, if the MAC ever starts winning those, they will no longer be scheduled. The MAC should be a stepping stone to move to a bigger conference. UCF and Temple both did it.

The Bowden name carries a lot of weight.

You have to offer the guys. Some guys don't want to go to a bigger school and want to be assured of early playing time. Their has to be some interest for them to offer. Just because you offer, doesn't mean you are strongly recruiting. One day we will land a couple studs and that will help things grow.

Bill did say that. I saw that also. However, in the past he has also questioned Bookers football ability. 1 game doesn't mean a lot.

People that use a transitive when discussing sports don't understand sports.
