Not in this case. I am as pissed off as anyone. Stupid jocks. However, if this was anyone other than OSU, you guys could care less. By the way, OSU self reported this. I know a lot more about this situation than any of you do. Not sure what GP1 is referring to with the recruitment of Pryor, but I am sure it is more of his having no facts and just throwing out BS. Like I said, just throwing out BS. You have no facts, just more of your typical BS that means nothing.

Actually no, I am not the one that is slow. We have been discussing it elsewhere for a couple days now. I didn't check the football board for this. I assumed this would be on the smack board. I thought those were the rules. No doubt GP1 has several. I am sure they are all uninformed and clueless like most of his posts.

No comments on Tat gate yet?

Great to think that the staff didn't scout the guy and see him first hand.

I'm saying don't pull an offer after the player has commited. It is very common to pull offers before that. If you need 3 LB's, you may offer 7. You take the first 3 that commit. Everyone does that type of thing. No team offers the exact number of schollies as they do spots available. Well, maybe the SEC teams because they seem to sign 30 every year.

Living down here in Georgia now, I actually feel like I am going slow when I come home. Down here 70 is the speed limit, but everyone goes 80-90. -
It is bad to pull a scholly after a verbal is issued. That can hurt recruiting in the future. It could be that the kid did something that merited pulling the scholarship? Since it happened at the end of the semester, poor grades are a strong possibility. Over the past few years I know of several recruits (various sports) that were dropped because their fall HS grades dipped below UA's requirements. For an Eric Howard, you might make an exception. For a 5' 10" LB, you wish him well and move on. Grades are a different story. Certain schools offer based on grades being achieved. I understand that. But if they are pullling for any reason other than grades or legal issues, it could really be a negative for future recruiting. Even an injury, unless it's career ending, is not a good thing. Never, ever pull a scholly because someone better came along. That is something that would get around to every recruit Akron is going after.

Because to this point it is nearly impossible to be LESS successful than Ianello. My thoughts exactly.

Your link is a pay site. What are you saying here?

Can't gets the OSU WR coach/associate HC. Ouch for us. He's a good coach and can recruit.

New Can't coach is Darrel Hazel.

Maybe they will need a recruiting coordinator at Pitt..

They should contact Zips Win! for several big ten naming options!!! I doubt they would use a name that had to be censored every time they say it. I haven't heard or read one person say they like the name. I think the B10 is getting a lot of negative feedback. Dumbest names for a conference I have ever heard.

He's going to FSU. Kid is a real piece of work. He supposedly scheduled a visit to one school, received the plane ticket and then used that ticket to fly home instead of visiting the school he was supposed to go to. Some may find that funny, but it shows a real lack of character IMHO.

Well, Ianallo does like to take players away from their best position and put them somewhere else. Sorry, it was just too tempting! Seriously, though, nice get on that Cincy kid. Small, but beating out UC and at least 3 MAC schools is solid recruiting. I remember in a JD signing day press conference, some media dolt asked, "Why do you recruit so many RB's and QB's and then tell us they are going to play another position when they come to Akron." JD's response was "in high school, most of the time, you will find your best athletes on the team play RB & QB." D'Orazio was a one-man team. He was the starting QB, Safety, Kicker, Punter, and Return man in high school. That's good because we need all of those things.

Maybe they wanted to be nearest the team their brother plays for that doesn't completely suck in football.

Says who? And Dave from Michigan sounded better too!! It's never been AU and just because morons call it that doesn't make it right. Show some school pride and respect and call my university by it's proper name. Akron U sounds so small time and community college. UA is the way to say it. Sounds better than all the others! Or just Akron. There are many Universities that have the University of .... and they just go by the name. Florida, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, California, the list is long and endless.

You're right. 3 teams in the top 10 with 2 traditional powers being way down and it's over. I am sure Nebraska will only add to the the downfall. After all, adding another traditionally top 20 team with a lot of history and tradition will only further the downfall. Since you know how the rest of the county thinks of the B10, I think the B10 should just disband and the teams should all join either the MAC, WAC or be independents. Possibly join the Big East or ACC. All of those conferences are obviously superior to the B10. That being said, the names do suck. Answer these questions: 1)How many times has the Big Ten had a winning bowl record in the last 7 years? 2)How many victories do the big 3 (Wisky, OSU, MSU) of the Big Ten have vs current top 25 teams other than each other? 3)What is the entirety of the Big Ten's record vs current top 25 teams (not including eachother)? Read the answers below, or research yourself, and tell me the Big Ten isn't overrated simply because it's the Big Ten. Now I'll admit, I'm one of the biggest Buckeye haters out there, but the numbers don't lie. The media is so far up the Big Ten schools butts that they don't realize their playing style has become obsolete except vs each other. That being said, a friend of mine summed it up perfect when I asked him what he thought of the new division names: "It's because, 'Going to Lose in the Sugar Bowl,' and 'Going to Lose in the Rose Bowl' wouldn't fit on the trophies." Answers if you don't feel like looking it up.... A1) ONCE...last year (4-3). Previous 6 years? 15-28 (.349) A2) ZERO A3) 0-2 (Alabama over Penn State, Missouri over Illinois) Like I said, disband the B10. It sucks.
