I still think it's BS that college coaches can be taken from a school right before a bowl game. Technically the bowl games aren't even real games. They are just glorified exhibitions so I see no problem with it from a rules standpoint. Though the coaches that leave are d-bags for abandoning the players they usually had claimed were so important to them. Very true. Kelly doing that at Cincy last year was lame.

Thanks for keeping tabs on recruiting, Zach! Will Rodnell be eligible to play immediately, or must he sit for a year? From the day you enroll in a school you have 5 years to play 4. Thus he should not be available to play for the Zips until Fall 2012, since he needs to sit out a full calendar year. He can practice, but not play. Maybe there's a way that he can take a full summer school load and be eligible...but I don't think so. If we made a bowl game in 2011, I believe he could play in the game since his 2nd full Akron semester would be completed. But isn't this different since he is a greyshirt? That's basically a walkon for the first year. If he never had a scholly, it shouldn't matter.

It may be Taylor Graham at QB. No way is it Bauserman and probably not Guiton. Miller is supposedly a much better QB than TP at the same point in their careers FWIW.

Not sure if it was Nanny or maybe Z carrying the ball. Hopefully I'll see it more times after this endless parade of crummy bowl games is over. BTW-- where did we finish overall last year? 24 pts for second in soccer, did we get any more? I think we finished with 24, the rest of our sports are kinda terrible Football is the only one I would consider "terrible"

I always heard Meyer's dream job was Notre Dame. Actually, I think Meyer just left his dream job in Florida. He isn't going to win two national championships at tOSU or ND. No. His dream job is OSU. It has been stated before. He had an out for ND and OSU, but OSU is his dream job. I agree that he will probably not win a NC at either though. He won't wait until Tressel leaves and Kelly will probably do well at ND. Meyer fits in better in the SEC. He will probably take another job down there when he is ready to coach again or maybe at USC when the Lane Kiffen experience ends badly.

From @CoryMcKnight: Where will Urban Meyer's next coaching job be? My hunch is he might be the guy whenever Jim Tressel decides to step down at Ohio State, given that he is an Ohio guy and it is a very big job. To me, OSU seems a little more viable than some other potential openings. I couldn't see him coming back in a year or two to take over at Georgia, even though the Bulldogs new AD came from UF. I wouldn't think taking a job at one of UF's archrivals would feel right to him. I doubt Notre Dame would be an option, either, but part of my thought process on that is because I suspect Brian Kelly will be entrenched there for quite a while. Would Meyer potentially trade off with Mack Brown after a year or two in the broadcast booth? I think it'd be tempting, given all that UT has to offer. But that job, as much as any, with the possible exception of Notre Dame, requires you to do more external work than probably any other. Given Meyer's final two seasons at UF, I'd doubt he'd want to undertake that. Meyer's dream job is OSU. Tressel isn't retiring for another 10-15 years. By that time there will be some other hot shot up and coming coach. I really like Patterson at TCU. Imagine what that guy could do if he was getting the recruits other than the scraps of what Texas leaves.

Some of the responses near the end are awesome. The SEC champ should get an automatic BCSG berth. LOL The way that certain posters decide what is a big game and what is OOC and what counts and what doesn't is truly hilarious to read. They are so clueless about how scheduling and college football works that it is a joy to read. They must think that these games are made the week before they are played. They attack the OSU OOC schedule and praise the SEC, yet never realize the SEC teams rarely, if ever, travel outside of their own area. Even most of their bowl games are in their area. Oh wait, the SEC is allowed to schedule weak OOC because the conference itself if so good. LOL. That is the crap some of these people say and believe. Love the bashing of the B10 also. One poster in the other thread talks about Iowa only winning their bowl game because Missouri gave it to them. If course he doens't mention that fact that much of Iowa's team didn't play. They always forget that part...LOL Every time OSU beats a big time team, they were lucky or the team sucked or is over rated, etc. One guy listed Illinois as hapless when OSU beat them. You know, the same Illinois team that just won there bowl game. I realize Illi is nothing great, but hapless? The same guy said when that when OSU beat Oregon that Oregon was over rated and in the Rose Bowl last year because of Kirk Herbstreit. Bring up OSU being 5-3 in BCS games and those games don't count, because only the games during the season count. A bowl game means little, that is of course unless OSU loses, then they are exposed. LOL. Yep, it's been said. You do realize that if OSU finds a way to beat Arkansas that they already have their excuses lined up as to why it happened. I guarandamntee it. There is no way to have a rational discussion with some of these people. There are people in this thread that actually think that OSU and UA compete for football recruits. It's like they think UA is the second choice of all these recruits. You know, they have offers from OSU, Florida, Alabama, USC, Oklahoma, but if OSU wasn't here they would pick UA. Some really believe that. One listed Erick Howard. They know nothing of the true story there, but what they want to believe. Most of our fans here are great. But a few have such disdain and yes..jealousy, that it is impossible to have a rational discussion. I used to try, but gave up a long time ago.
