I think they are basing that off of the fact they beat Kentucky last year and UK sucked. And I agree OU was the worst.

To me neither Trent nor Doug are premier NFL QB's.....Everyone take a mental note...FRYE will start before the year is over..watch!!! Everyone is giving Trent more credit then he deserves. His super bowl win came from a team with a great defense (Sapp, Rice, Smith, Barker). If he was sooo good he wouldn't have gotten traded the next season. And Doug Johnson has played 2 games his self, so he doesn't have that much experience. I guess you can get some advice from a 6 year pine rider, but not much. Charlie is hungry, this is his home town/state, and MAC QB's do well in the league. No one expected much in the Senior Bowl and look MVP. No expects much from him no cause he is a rookie, the only pressure is the pressure he puts on hisself. Now he is going to the next level where he will have tougher competition but he will also have top notch weapons at his disposal. (And yeah I said top notch cause the Browns receivers and running backs are good...............it's the O-line that is the problem Charles is used to having an OK O-line he is going to be a star..

I think the process hurts the mid major schools. I think if a kid has to chose between going to a mid-major school or sitting out a year and go to a major school. They will chose the major school. I think it is kinda jacked up that a school says he I have a scholarship for you, the kid tells other schools he is not interested in them, and when it comes time to sign the school says sorry we overbooked come back next spring. Wow I guess it is no secrete that the O-line needs to improve. I hope JD points that out to the line, maybe it will provide motivation. But who do you all think is going to be the starting QB. This artical has Jabari and not Getsby.

This is great but that still doesn't help when you have undersized receivers. And the 0-line still has to block inorder to pass or run. Let's hope he lives up to the hype.

Well said, If I was him I would do what Jason Taylor did, hire someone to help develop my skills as a quarterback and as an athlete. That's what I am saying! It's almost like a catch 22. How would you change this. Take a guy that gets snubbed by Ohio State you could approach the kid with they didn't want you but we do and we play against them. How else are we going to step up our program to that national level. I think that is why Marshall is leaving the MAC. I guess I just have blue and gold blinders on cause I love this university and I think it deserves it. And ohio has always been a fairweather fan area. Look at the Browns, Cavs, and Indians...when the are above average you can't get tickets, when they are 500 or less you have no problem getting tickets. And if the building of a new stadium on campus is true that would be a big help to generate attendance....I don't know why the university is waiting so long on making this move...I would buy 5 $200 bricks the day the start selling them!! I can't tell you how many college students said they would go to the game if it wasn't so far away. Indiana and Illinois have no TV power in the BIG Ten and Temple and Rutgers sure don't in the Big East, all I am saying is IMO we are just as good as these teams.

Was he a scholarship player? And what kind of disagreement would cause you to quit? If you are going to lose playing time get you stuff together so you don't. If coaches want you to change positions make that move and be a team player.

I got into a conversation about all the great changes akron has made over the past couple of years. And this person said the last change akron needs to make is to get out of the MAC. If they want that national attention they need to get into a bigger conference, to get better recruits. My reply was why if anything wait till you can compete in this conference before you jump ship. But now would be a perfect time to go to the Big East. Competition isn't that tough. Rutgers, Temple, UConn...Akron can compete with theses teams.schedule Can't state and Ohio for outta conference games and you got 5 wins in a bigger conference. I understand the MAC is respected but if we want that next level is this the best thing or do we keep doing what we are doing? What are you opinions?

The more exposure a recrute knows the school is going to get the better chance you have of signing them. I agree with ziprifle lets shake things up and take a chance. If you don't ever take any you will never gain anything!
