I agree 100%, and I would argue that these two institutions, along with Toledo, easily have the most in common with the U of A out of all of the schools in the MAC. Maybe one day in the distant future these four schools will form the basis of a new conference. How does the "Scrape-off-the-Rust Belt Conference" sound?I don't like that fact that they are "competitive" in the MAC! It just proves all of my friends right about how bad the MAC is, when people make statements like Buffalo and Temple are bottom feeder teams that nobody wants, the next statement to follow is they belong in the MAC where they can at least be competitive. And now look..... we are worried about whether or not we will beat a team that is 3 and 5. Remember how we all stated we didn't want Temple in the MAC because they bring nothing to the table? And now look, after being kicked out of the Big East (the same conference we wanna be in) they are competitive and could win the MAC east. Do you think the rest of the country sees the MAC as getting better? IMO that doesn't help the conference look good it hurts more than anything. And don't say they have been competitive against good teams!! I hate this statement as much as I hate the "moral victory" BS. Our entire conference has wins against the military schools and Iowa St. and each other Big deal. I'm told it is off substantially, that the department is treading red ink, in part because of the bloated marketing staff. Comments?How do you guys get this information?! I think that is just a cop out but there is some validity to that statement based on this study. For those that don't know Canton is the next town over from Akron, I am sure Akron isn't too far from the list as well. I think UA tickets are a bargain considering what it costs to go see other college teams, and the Indians and Cavs don't seem to have a problem selling tickets even though you could use the argument that those are professional teams.

Racer I agree with you BUT!! Every team has a loss they shouldn't, Michigan loss to App St. Miami to Minnesota, Ball St vs. Nebraska, and the list goes on. Winning the games you are suppose to is what separates the good from the great

The thing is, even if you take away that game, NIU would still be second in the MAC in terms of attendance. It's something else.Also, I wouldn't mind playing a home game at Cleveland Browns Stadium every once in a while, even if we get our new stadium built. Some teams won't come here no matter how nice our home field is. Having a home game in Cleveland against a "name" school every other year or so would be a huge boost towards attendance and would help us break into the apathetic Cleveland market. OR, an even better idea: hold the Akron-Can't game there every year, with each team switching off being the "home" team every other year like it is now. If marketed right, it would be a huge boost for both schools. I would love to see it done. I'll think I'll send out some e-mails to people in Can't, Akron, the Cleveland Sports Commission, and the MAC office. I see no downside to this.hmmm I like this idea especially hosting the Akron Can't rival game.This is why...

I agree if you are undecided say you are undecided, if you have low to medium interest be a man and say so. Learn to conduct business in a professional way.

1. The defense really misses John Mackey, his leadership is irreplaceable. 2. If a team we play has a quarterback that can run even a little bit we have problems.3. The defense can't stop the run.I am not done with this team as some are already, I am being upbeat about this season, I think we still have an outside shot we just need some help and in this conference we may very well get it. Alot can happen when u have 5 games left and they are all conference games.I blame the offense moreso than the defense. Make the first down, and the Zips could have run out the clock. (I think Temple only had 1 remaining timeout.)I agree as well the offense is the majority of our problems but obviously they aren't gonna win any games for us so the defense is gonna have to do it. I kid you not i felt it coming, I told my daughter You know what right now Temple has momentum. She said what is momentum, I said well it is kinda like when you are playing a basketball game and a team is scoring alot of points really quickly, a coach will call time out to stop their momentum, just mess with them like calling a timeout before a field goal kicker kicks. Man this one was hard to swallow, up 20 - 10 in the fourth and lost!!
