So are we already making excuses for losing a game that is a week away? Literally is it a must win game for the MAC Championship....well, maybe it is. If we didn't beat Central in 2005, then we wouldn't have made it to Detroit. BTW, we have a wonderfully schedule again this year. Why do we ALWAYS get bent over in the scheduling dept!

Though your logic makes complete sense to almost anyone, I wouldn't bet the farm on it. I fear that Clevelanders would throw their weight around and may turn the tables on Akron. Columbus would sell out Akron to show everyone how they are trying to help Cleveland out in tough times. They would probably move the administration up there too. Luckily for us, we have Proenza, and there is NO WAY he would let something like that happen.

I plan on going to Kalamazoo next week, anyone else coming? Never been to Waldo Stadium or really spent time on the WMU Campus. Anyone else making the trip?

Agreed. I was glad to see what appeared to be some progress in the first half. I still don't know what to think about this team. I really thought we would have given UCONN a run. If you told me Akron would be down 44-10 early in the 4th, would I have laughed you out of the building. Hopefully this is a modivating loss and not the other way around.

It was this bad all last season and It's been this bad all this season. JD has no control over his team. He's trying to make a statement by benching CJ for some ticky tack team rules violation while simultaneously allowing guys to turn their brains off and do whatever the heck they want to on the field.JD is damn lucky he won that game last week. If he had lost that and come out and laid this kind of an egg this week I'd be calling for his head and I don't think I'd be the only one.As it is, I can't say I have a lot of confidence in the guy.Weren't we all worried about JD leaving about a year ago????

I'll tell you what, we have GOT to do something about the penalties. I can't remember when it was this bad. Dumb, dumb mistakes.

Tell the coaches that. They just want to lose respectably. The play calling doesn't allow for winning games. It just limits mistakes at the cost of making plays.I can't control what the coaches do. As a fan, I don't expect to see them run the ball every down with an entire quarter left. If we fight to get back in the game, then we have a chance at winning.

Right now, I want to see Akron battle back. I expect a program that won't give up....you can't mount a comeback if you give up.

If CJ did something that deserves this type of discipline, then I back JD entirely. I'm not willing to win at all cost! An Akron program should be a class act, and if things are getting out of hand, and someone needs to be made expample of...I'm all for it. I just wish I knew what he did.

I'm amazed at how many of you are throwing in the towel. This is why the RB is empty at the end of the 3rd. I bet you were all on your way to your car in Detroit during the MACC in 2005. I was there when Big Ben killed us with his Hail Mary. The stadium was 1/2 empty, everyone from Miami went home. I'm here till the end!

Damn! TD.OK. The next 2 series decide the game. Down by 3 TD. We score, it's manageable. Hold them the next time they get the ball and we've got a shot. If we don't do anything here, and they score again....then it's over.
