Hixon hasn't been his old self this season. You can tell he's scared to death of fumbling the ball on kickoffs. That's all he's thinking about when they kick the ball is to not fumble it. We really need him to shake that off.

Yea, it's just us right now, but I think the buffalo game started off slow and by the end we had about 10 people here. Like I've said a million times, we need to get Getsy warmed up with small throws. Maybe JD is letting Luke calm down and get into the game, lean on Biggs here. DAMN Getsy missed a wide open J. Long. Keeping Coach Lolla is an absolute must for this athletic department. As a MAC school, against all odds, you've somehow managed to built a top program nationally. You have to do everything in your power to keep it near the top. The Major schools have reputation, press, legacy, and money. If Akron EVER wants to be considered on the same level as the Major schools, you've got to take advantage of any break you can get. Soccer is our opportunity to be seen on a national stage, and I'm glad to see UA recognize this and lock in the cornerstone. I would have no problem if, due to the recent soccer success, UA started throwing money at this team to keep it on top. I don't know what it seats now, but it sounds like over 2000 fans have showed up many times this season at LJF. IMO, they need to increase the stands in the offseason to accomodate at LEAST 2500 to keep the fans coming in and give the top team a top facility.

Looking at Gozips.com, and this last game against Indiana is HUGE! Indiana has lost only one game and Akron has never won at Indiana. I know that the Zips are feeling this one and will come out fired up. Good luck Zips, Lets get our first win at Indiana and start out the Tourney run on a high note!

The team is starting to roll now. New school record set in the standing position and another tied in the prone position. Newt picked the correct Smallbore team this week. The result of which is that the Gold team posted it's highest Smallbore score of the year, but was one point shy of it's highest score of the year in Air Rifle. Blue team was off in Smallbore, but also had it's highest score of the year in Air Rifle. The Gold team is getting ever closer to the elusive 2300 mark that really puts them in the same company as the top teams in the nation! Keep up the good work folks. We've got another chance to continue our domination over OSU this week. I see it as a perfect chance to really put the smack down on the Buckeyes, let's crack 2300 in both categories and have Akron Gold and Blue finish 1-2 again! Rifle Tops Coast Guard

As a rule of thumb, I tend to avoid getting bottles thrown at me. I do my best to be loud, obnoxious, and make as many smart@$$ remarks about the other team as possible. It pisses their fans off an makes our fans laugh. If I don't have at least one fan looking at me in pure disgust, someone telling me to shut up, or making nearby opposing fans moving to another section, then I haven't done my job.

Good game by Akron. Great day for football and I really like Doyt, and they had a good crowd. I was totally off Getsy last week, but he bounced back yesterday. He made good decisions and even tucked the ball and ran it a few times. Still had a few that bounced off the ground 5 yds in front of the receiver, but it kinda looked like he was intentionally doing that to avoid INT's. Biggs had a huge day and the D REALLY stepped up in the end. Was this the first time all year the D has had the legs to the end of the game? GREAT, GREAT, GREAT stops at the end of the games. Rohr is a beast, that guy is everywhere. I think he gets my vote for MVP this year. OL had a lot of push at the end of the game too. Solid bame by Akron, Ball State scares me. One game at a time folks. This team has two heads and I never know which one will show up. I didn't give us a chance yesterday, even with Omar out. I'm going to stop guessing which team will show up, thinking about game plans, and just watch the games.

You know if OSU had the top ranked Guinea Pig racing team it would make the Cleveland news every weekend. Just wondering if Akron has gotten any mention? Soccer team beat Uof M in OT---1-0. Great Job Zips to stay undefeated! WOW, this is really amazing! The football team needs to go talk to the futbol team about having a winning attitude. Right now, I think the UA soccer team really believes that NOBODY can beat them! They EXPECT to win EVERY game! Who went to the game? How was the crowd? Does Akron get some of the tourney games at home if they are the #1 seed? If so, I think UA will need to bring in some extra stands, and we should all show up and tailgate! Zips Down Michigan in OT

The BG game is my home game! I just hope something happens. I was the first one to bash JD using the trick plays, but we've got to do something. I really thought I would have seen Jabari throw a few passes this year. Zips are a long shot to down BG.

Soccer team nailed down the MAC Championship with a 2-0 victory over Western. I was nosing around the Western website, and was impressed to see their coach say that because they only lost 2-0, it shows that they can play with top teams like Akron. It's almost like we're not even in the MAC anymore.....everyone else is just playing for 2nd place and are happy just to have a close loss to us. People are justifying how good their team is by NOT being blown out by us! Keep up the good work guys. Here's a question.......will the city throw a tickertape parade through downtown if the soccer team wins the National Championship??? That would be sweeeeeeet!!!
