  1. The legend has grown over the years 😀
he shoved him. Still pretty shocking to see a player forcibly shove his coach. My favorite exchange- at the end of an Akron-Kent game Kyrim Massey clocked Jami Bosley with an elbow at mid court as a ball was being inbounded. Bosley was laid out on the center court logo, and no referee saw it. The next season Massey went up for a 3 on his first shot of the game and Andrick “accidentally” rammed his fingers into Massey’s eyes. An 8-month delayed payback. Ahh the good old days..,now you get T’d up for saying “You can’t guard me” as you jog down the floor after a made shot.
  2. If he’d stayed with the Zips he’d have probably seen fewer minutes than Marvin. Robert Morris seems like a perfect fit for him.
  3. Evan - Waved a great towel. Embraced his role as an energy guy on the bench. A very underrated shooter when given the chance. He'd have have seen PT in Groce's Akron Year #1 and acquitted himself well. Decent all around player for a walk on. Fun kid to root for. Seth - Short, streaky, stocky 3-point specialist. Unwavering confidence in his shot. Not such a great defender. If the Zips were to get in the Big Dance, he'd need to go on a heater if we are to have any chance of winning a game. Good 1-year portal addition. Isaiah - Good blue-collar player. Jack of all trades. Decent rebounder, decent 3-point shooter, decent ball handler. Confident, veteran presence. Good attitude. Gets into trouble driving the lane...not as good a ball handler as he thinks he is. Doesn't necessarily finish at the rim all that well. Never lacks effort. Never sulks.
  4. Ok, Clark Jr
😀
  5. I think you can find a live stream on YouTube or maxpreps.
  6. I like him quite a bit, but he's the prototypical 6' MAC guard. In his last 8 games, he's scored in single digits in 7 of them (6, 5, 3, 4, 10, 7, 4, 3). I can't believe any competing program is beating the JAR door down with a wheelbarrow of NIL money just yet. If he goes, it's because we have a bevy of really good players in front of him. It's sorta like the NY Yankees, if you think about it?
  7. If Harris returns, there will not be many game-minutes remaining for anyone else in 2025-26. Harris would take the minutes from Gray's departure, and the others will be fighting for Seth's minutes. In addition, someone like Nate Johnson could get some P5 interest if he has a nice tournament. I have to believe there will be some portal departures.
  8. Gave up 63 in the 2nd half? Gotta be some sort of record?
  9. Shammah Scott should get more than a handful of votes.
  10. Bowen Hartman had his best game as a Zip last night. Timely 3’s, drove in for an open layup, pretty pocket pass to Nate, and was adequate on defense. Be nice if that kind of impact became a trend. That’s the Bowen we’ll need in Cleveland!
  11. Fun to watch Isaiah Gray celebrate the big win with his teammates!
  12. Great college basketball game. Tremendous show in front of a national audience. If Joe Sheboygan or Flo Peoria was channel surfing tonight they stopped on ESPN2 because it had the look and vibe of a big time event. And it was.
  13. Maybe I should have gone with “lamprey”?
  14. CTROSF!! (Cut The Remora Off Sullinger’s Forehead)
  15. I remember when the Sipe-to-Rucker combination was all the rage. Any Rucker to follow pales by comparison.
  16. Bought 4 Friday tickets at $26 each, fees and taxes included using the code. Section 125.
  17. I bought two Thursday “cheapies” using a code for $40 today. $16 ea. + $4 in fees ea. Regular price was $26 ea. and with taxes and fees it rose to an incredible $82!
  18. He'll need to make more than 1 to get of the schneid. Lyles was a combined 8-12 in 3-pointers against St Mary's and Omaha towards the beginning of the season. Complete revelation. He's a combined 10-46 in all other games. 21.7% It's like he's possessed by 2023-24 Mikal Dawson.
  19. Lyles 3-point shooting was a revelation earlier this season. It isn’t anymore.
  20. Can’t believe nobody has told Sullinger he has a lamprey attached to his head?
  21. Yeah...I think it is more likely that he'd have tried to parlay that $30k into a few more bales of the chronic and turn it into $200k. They say "There's no greater tragedy than unrealized potential". Whenever I hear the phrase I immediately think about that Zips basketball team.
  22. Probably why schools like West Virginia and North Carolina invested a look at him. He definitely has the athleticism and the motor.
  23. I agree with one caveat- whomever decided to play music during Groce and Enrique’s speeches at the halftime ceremony should be flogged.
