That comment is simply untrue, and it bothers me that you would post it. The people posting on this site have kept comments towards the players above-board. That is one thing that separates our site from other fan forums. Even the comments regarding the coaching staff (Bowden/Milwee) have been very measured. Your hypersensitivity to the topic doesn't make it otherwise.

Buffalo moves to 3-0 with a nice 9-point road win against Southern Illinois.

They're legit. I watched the entire game. WVa hit them with multiple haymakers and the Bulls never flinched. Down 11, they just kept chipping away. Hit a lot of clutch shots. Every year there's some hot MAC team that fools everyone into thinking they're legit Top 25. And then they face "real" competition and get exposed. Fearless Forecast - They have Power 5 size and skills. That probably won't get them better than an 11 seed in the tourney, but they're going to be in the Top 25 for extended time this year. Not a flash in the pan...Buffalo is legit.

It will be interesting to see if there is a ring of cheerleaders surrounding the upper deck of the JAR, blocking everyone's view the entire game as they did for Cedarville. For those of you who weren't there...or who sat below...the cheerleaders...sans the final 4 minutes of the first half...stood on the track the entire time. I sat with a friend in the bleachers for the second half. Much better view than my upper-reserved seating.

You are correct. And if the Zips turn the ball over 5 times in Ypsilanti, like the did against Miami, they'll lose to EMU too. Sucks that Kato got injured. He looked GREAT in his 3 quarters against NIU. Just when a Zips fan sees hope, Lucy pulls the ball away.

In the post game show, "Champion of the Local Akron Kid" Joe Dunn expressed his excitement that Walter was the back up point guard. Groce subsequently stated Cheese was the back up and Walter would probably be 3rd on the PG depth chart.

When the Zips have any semblance of an offense, they can beat anyone in the MAC. I expect, whether AR12 or KN1 is in the backfield, having 9 days to prepare allows the Zips offense to produce adequately enough to get the job done. The Zips defense always shows up. Not worried about them. Hope Boxen is healthy, and Bell's hammy is 9 days improved. The Zips know this is a game they need for bowl eligibility. I think it goes down to the wire and EMU missed a game-winning field goal attempt as the final horn sounds. Zips 24 EMU 23

A good Three for Thursday bonus question might be: "Who will be the Zips starting QB on Saturday?"

Do you think Groce's preference is to recruit JUCO's. Or is it simply the short term, best route to quickly become competitive? Losing so many players, I think he had no choice but to go with JUCO guys if he wanted to be competitive before 2020. And coaches don't get that long a leash to become competitive now-a-days. I remember Hipsher's first team...it was Senior Jarvis Katron, Soph. Tron Jenkins, and 11 Freshman. I think they started the season 3-0, and finished it 3-25. Glad we didn't go that route again. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd guess Groce will get out of the transfer/JUCO business soon.

I recall the Nebraska AD saying he didn't want to pay anything other than the travel expenses ($160,000). If we're getting $1,000,000 to play SC (the going rate), I have to believe the Husker/Zips lawyers will call it a wash and move on. Just my opinion/speculation. If we can get the million from Nebraska too, all the better.

I guess Nebraska is off the hook for all but travel expenses? Hope Ramart improves a lot over the next 4 weeks.

Toledo has a “Friends and Family Only” crowd of around 3k tonight, and their weather wasn’t all that bad. The Zips may actually have below 1k butts-in-seats tomorrow night. The weather looks atrocious.
