UNC SHOULD have gone down today at App St. App St. scored late, was down one, went for 2 to go for the win (:31 still on clock) but QB missed an absolute gimme to a wide open running back out of the backfield. UNC then ran an onside kick in for a TD to close things out (or so I thought). Apparently App St. scored AGAIN but couldn't convert 2-pt (again) to tie it up.

Fees at the gate? Big turn-off for me. As you said, state the price and don't make it feel like you're fleecing me. 'Maintenance' fee, 'Convenience' fee, 'Transaction' fee, 'We appreciate your business!' fee, 'Just-For-Ghits-and-Siggles' fee ... we become what we allow and we've come to accept just about anything.

It certainly does take Jimmys and Joes. I know it's only game 1 but that OL play didn't look much different from what we were treated to under Arth. I expected MUCH-improved coaching staff + better players = noticeable improvement, especially against an FCS opponent (don't care if they are decent FCS). TOTALLY onboard with Joe and staff (thrilled to have them here) and just have to accept they need time to coach this current group of young men up and recruit more of what they're looking for in the coming years.
