Sounds like the Rowdies should have some fun with the UVA goalie ...From a post on a Wake message board ..."Just got back from Cary. I have never in my 53 years seen a poorer excuse for a "student-athlete" than the UVa goalie. He talked and taunted the fans behind his goal the entire match. Even if some fans were talking to him, it was no excuse for his behavior. I taught every player I ever had not to respond to fans in any way. Let your play on the field do your talking, and if that wasnt good enough, nothing else would be. Their goalie cursed fans, made obscene jestures, and generally acted like an ass. When his team won in OT, he immediately ran toward the fans, grabbed his crotch, made another obscene jesture, and yelled something. Only then did he head toward his celebrating teammates. What an embarrassment for what I thought was a fine university. At least in his case, I was wrong."Five of us are heading to Cary around 1PM this afternoon. The Akron at Texas A&M game Friday night (8PM ET) is being broadcast on Fox Sports Southwest for any of you who have access to it. I just called The Tap House and was told that Randy is going to order access to FS SW for a day if any of you are looking for a place to go watch the game.

I too saw Wistrcil talking to the UAPB coaching staff as they exited the floor in what appeared to be an apologetic, assuring manner. Tom then seemed to head towards the UA locker room. Oh to be a fly on the wall in there!

I agree with the last couple of posts.I KNOW a million dollars would immediately benefit the new soccer stadium project and the soccer program itself. I DON'T know how quickly that same million will help us become bowl-eligible and beyond in football. I like JD personally but agree with most of you that it is probably time for a change. I'm not at all sure buying JD out of the last year of his contract is the best we can do with the kind of money it's going to take to do that and put the new coach and staff in place.

Disappointing start to our double-header ... and now it looks like the Dayton/Nova game is going to run long on ESPNU ... but probably by not much more than a BG touchdown and field goal.

I like our seeding, especially the potential match-up against northwestern. DON'T like the 4PM start on Sunday. No way we can miss Thanksgiving Sunday at the in-laws (they hold it the Sunday before so we can spend a full day of Thanksgiving on each side of the family). Why couldn't WE get a 1PM start time like Tosu did?!? "Kyle" won't be able to attend the match but he's already plotting to have a handful of Rowdies kidnap him Sunday morning and return him safely sometime later that evening! Anybody know whether ZipsZone will have a live video/audio feed of the match?
