I know some on the board question Dambrot's recruiting, scheduling, game decisions, whatever ... I love the guy and I'm glad he's here. The Crawford and Hipsher years just plain SUCKED and I like the direction we're headed. I had VCU going quite a ways in my NIT bracket. Nice run to get back into it last night but ran out of magic. Looking forward to the return game next year.

WMU coach Steve Hawkins does seem to work the officials a fair amount during a game. I doubt he's pointing out how Reitz lowers his shoulder to clear space and rarely gets called for it. I know Hawkins burned a lot of time during timeouts against Akron in the MAC tourney pleading his case to the officials. Haven't followed WMU's post-season hissy fit but it sounds like just more of the same from Hawkins.

I received my computer science degree from Akron back in 1988. As I said in a previous post, that degree has served me well in my IT career here in the Akron area. I've been fortunate to work for two very good companies (J.M. Smucker company-6yrs; and FedEx-14 and counting) over the last 20 years and wouldn't trade the time I spent working on projects in the computer labs on campus for anything. Hope the staff is able to land Zeke.

Based on one thread I sifted through on the OU site, it sounds like the CBI MAY have reduced the cost to host a game. It also sounds like TOS was prepared to lose some money in exchange for the chance to host a game - from one of the OU posts ..."O'Shea was quoted earlier this week as saying he'd pick up another $$$ game next year to cover any losses we incur by playing in this tournament, so I'm not too worried about the budget implications. Though it would be nice to see a few more people coming out for this."
