who gives a shit? i do agree that any post season play is better than none. i stand corrected on the NIT champ playing for 65th place, it's actually 66th. i mean no disprespect to you, you seem like a big college hoops fan and i appreciate that. i just feel the majority of the people, asides from the actual schools involved, could care less about the NIT.

that's fine, at least your posts are bearable now. i'm all for opposing views. life's boring when we all think the same way. i've seen some boards where everyone says the same thing, usually bitching and whining, and they suck.

Fighting words, but football is a tad different. The NCAA tourney is above and beyond the NIT tournament. When you play an OOC team, you look to see if they have been in the Big Dance recently. Yeah to go to the finals of the NIT would be nice, but the Big Dance I believe would be more satisfying. holy hell, we agree again. one of us is slipping. i feel faint.

cincy ought to be damned proud. huggins never graduated a single player under his term. cincy bitches about getting a mid major AD in thomas but they were more than happy to take an OVC coach in huggins. these idots are going to look even more foolish when thomas and wad turn that dump on the river into a real contender in the east. i just hate to see real talent of ours being wasted in such a horrible place. get in, get out and move on to a better place. quick, who was in the final 4 of the NIT last year? no one knows, no one cares. do most zip fans talk about the zips in the NIT or 1986 in the NCAA? hell, my mom remembers losing to michigan in the NCAA in 1986 and she thinks we lost by a touchdown.

gotta be careful not to look past anyone. any team can get hot. just look at the NCAA'S every year where one or two teams shock the hell out of everyone. let's not be the team that gets upset.

Can't State winning the regular season and losing the tourney makes the regular season crown mean nothing. i guess i'm just looking at we don't go to the NCAA without winning the mac tourney. i want the mac. maybe i am not thinking big enough?

first and foremost, we go for the mac championship, period. that is our main goal. wether it means an NIT or NCAA doesn't matter to me. since winning the mac means NCAA, i vote for the NCAA. winning the mac is what give us the best exposure at this point. don't get greedy. are we toledo and would rather lose our conference and win a post season game?

Sound familiar??? hey, we're not making ridiculous emands to play some team on the road. we're not setting any records, i know, but as the old saying goes, rome wasn't built in a day. we're playing penn state, nc state and that piece of garbage cincy on the road. i don't think in we're in a position to make demands yet and neither is rutgers.

it's not too late to get a big name team in if we want to pay their price. a few big east teams would come for the right money. rutgers wants more money than the u takes in all year at the gate. they have one decent season and all of a sudden they want the bank to come to akron. syracuse still thinks they are competitive and wants the same thing. both of these teams would have to really compete to win the mac and yet they want to rob us to come here. i don't think either team is setting home attendance records.

just goes to show that book smarts does not equate to common sense. look at msopher. i had a 4.0 biology roomie in college who is a high priced doc now that can't figure out how to put gas in his car. unfortunately for me i barely got b's and have no common sense either!
