i don't give a shit about what's happend the last ten years. all i know is that we are the current MAC champs and odds are we will be again in 2006. i actually respect toledo and their coach and would love for them to win the MAC if akron wasn't in it. granted in the past we had shit teams, shit facilities, shit support and shit for a future but all of that is changing rapidly and it's one helluva fun ride. i'm first in line along with many long suffering zip fans :macc:

don't get me wrong, there's nothing worse than losing to Can't like we did to start 2003, it does ruin a season. Can't sucks out loud but miami is nothing but a bunch of A-holes. those arrogant bastards need a good ass kicking in the worst way. i'd be happy to pull a nebraska in the 90's and run the score way up. Can't sucks but they are basically harmless. miami looks down at us as a community college that has no business being in the mac. the cradle of coaches can kiss my ass along with big ben and any player from miami.

screw ben, pittsburgh, miami and all the pittsburgh fans in northeast ohio. i agree with liljc, i have no use for any of them. he's a winner, pittsburgh is the super bowl champ, no denying that but i don't have to like any of them. miami tried their damnedest to keep akron out of the mac. hell, i'd trade a win over Can't state to beat the shit out those creeps this year at the rubber bowl. i would imagine his not getting invited to the combines tells us a lot about his draft status. he didn't have a great game in the MCB. is there going to be a senior day in the field house like last year? that would be his chance to impress scouts.

ok, we pissed down our legs. time to see how we respond to this. everyone loses but the true champions learn from it and come back strong. we lost but forever

i gotta admit, it was just a flat out ass kicking in the second half. i agree we're missing that fifth gear. allowing teams to get back into the games in the second half finally caught up with us. falling apart with turovers, missed shots, no rebounds hurts. i remember losing in football to army and thinking the season was over. hopefully the basketball team can learn from this loss and finish strong. this was bad but it ain't over! don't give up the ship! still

my sleeper is mike ward, ol 6-3 300. on the tape, this kid could move and had great size. you could even see the definition of muscles in his arms .he didn't appear to be 300 soft pounds to me. from his bio he appears to have smarts too. watchout for the best o-line in the mac in two years. kemme, anderson, jackson, ward, bates.....derron smith at linebacker is going to be tough too. damn, this class has tons of potential!! :macc:

from what that crack newspaper the beacon reported, it didn't seem like too much of our local talent got div 1A scholarships this year as opposed to previous years. i think this was a down year for the locals. i know being all-city series in akron doesn't mean what it did 20 years ago. when the talent is here, JD will find it, don't worry. :macc:

i always thought jacquemain could play anywhere on the field except the lines. a great athlete, i can see him as the john mackey type. this kid has to be on the field somewhere, anywhere. hard to say, he could our starting qb in a year or starting rover. hell, i wonder if he can punt too? :macc:
