  1. i asked if anyone heard if a senior o-lineman quit the team, if you'll remember correctly. if you think that rasor's source is credible just because it's on the liberty board, you are the one who's dense.
  2. i can't argue with his tremendous potential. i'm sure he'll work on his speed and be more consistent in pass catching skills. the sky's the limit.
  3. i agree no one will remember dilfer in 25 years, even with his super bowl ring. he was so vital to the ravens that they got rid of him following the super bowl in favor of elvis. that says it all. i'll remeber dilfer for wearing terry bradshaw's face mask in tampa bay for luck. gimme a break. the browns will bring in some old time qb to help school charlie. charlie will be fine. the o-line just improved big time.
  4. like i said, i posted and got my ass chewed for it when i asked if anyone knew of a senior offensive lineman leaving the team. as it turns out, a junior offensive lineman, scott kaplan was no where to be found at the spring game and not even on the roster......just becuase something is on the liberty board doesn't make it legit and because a rumor is on our board doesn't make it un-true.
  5. obviously there's something to it? just like everything on here has substance?
  6. i posted something like this two months ago and got my ass chewed out for it. i thought rumors aren't allowed?
  7. damn, i should've seen that coming. good luck to hix!
  8. what the hell does Can't state have to do with who broadcasts the games? who gives a shit about Can't?
  9. i hope you're right. he didn't do much in practice last year as the other freshman o-lineman were on the second team in practice (or first team, kemme) and he was strictly scout team. i look for zack anderson to be the pick of that class as far as o-linemen go. anderson will be even better than kemme, who did an outstanding job last year.
  10. jay rohr is flat out a man. my all time favorite zip on defense. he reminds me of ron wolfley who played for the cardinals and browns as a special teams monster. i agree that the odds are against him but the guy has great heart. good luck to jay rohr.
  11. I hear Mickey Baker is expected to start @ LB. Regarding Groza...he's made some great strides since the spring of last year. You can tell he's worked pretty hard because he isn't the most athletically gifted players on our roster. i'll agree with that but groza made one helluva play at the goal line at BG last year which showed me he can play. being a 4.0 student in engineering ain't shabby either.
  12. great. me driving to work every day must be a sport too then. where do i get my letterman's jacket?
  13. bowling is not a sport, period. gimme women's gymnastics, if anything.
  14. as far as games i was actually at go, the 92 acme zip game when the zips played toldeo in a packed rubber bowl. they won it on a last scond field goal by daron alcorn that was like 52 yards or something. and of course, the 04 marshall game. the all time greatest game was of course, the 05 mac championship game. :macc:
  15. hell yes, take a long look at him if he's interested. that's a no brainer.
  16. good for him. he wouldn't have gotten nearly the playing time at akron he will get down there. kaz and pointdexter are much better tight ends. i too, am suprised he got the clearance to play.
  17. i watched the scrimmage this past saturday and can tell you all that the zips are way ahead of where they were last year. the offense looks much better with a year of experience under their belts. getsy will have an outstanding year, kennedy runs very well. jabari needs to be more consistent with his pass catching, but hell, it is only spring. the defense looks strong but the offense moved the ball much better against them this year than last year. i know the defense will be even stronger this year so this is a good sign of the offense's abilities. the d-line looks good even without nate robinson. the linebackers will be a strength but howe needs to keep his head up when hitting. he seems to miss tackles with his head down, but when he connects, someone hurts. the secondary is solid also. there was a lot of gang tackling going on. i was very impressed with the second team o-line also. the young guys look tough and i think the future is in good hands. zack anderson is going to be a monster. huebner is a lot bigger and stronger and seckinger is a giant with raw talent. back up qb is still up in the air but jackson is quick and and ads a nice option of the option. the other cj looks like he put on 15 lbs and is strong. the present and future looks bright, baring any major injuries IMO. :macc:
  18. let's not forget chase blackburn playing for the giants. he even started a few games until his neck injury.
  19. i hate the schedule just because of the spacing of the home games. i like who we play. i imagine the team will have the fresno state attitude of playing any team, any time, any where. :macc:
  20. i'm sure those last two home games will pack the rubber bowl with us playing buffalo on a thursday night in novemeber and WMU the day after thanksgiving. somebody shoot me. i thought it couldn't get any worse than last year's schedule.
  21. we have veto power? explain please. oh, and i'll happily contribute towards your bail fund.
  22. i agree. we can kiss the affordable prices of the old rubber bowl good bye. get used to higher ticket, parking, concessions, and god forbid, PSL's for choice seats. the price of the progress we all wanted.
  23. what happened to us at memphis (and NIU) is what happened to most teams they played. the d-line will be fine. :macc:
  24. CFN is worried about our d-line in 2006? you gotta be kidding me. that's going to be a strength this year. robinson isn't even listed as the sole starter at DT. for now lively is listed as the primary starter with robinson listed as "or" after him.
