the university wanted to buy it a few years ago but from what i hear, the school board wanted $5 million more than the university was offering. turns out that the school board should've sold it then. now they'll be lucky to get what the university originally offered. another example of mismanagement by the akron public schools.

bigsy is waiting for an invite to a summer camp. not much with the skins but running drills in a helmet and shorts. the pick of the backs in camp appeared to be some 6'1", 230 lbs tailback who ran a 4.4 40. biggs is lifting and running and just waiting.

great, we'll worry about a new stadium that will be empty after a year if we don't have a winning program. agreed, we need a new stadium, but first things first. it's easier to spend a few thousand dollars more for a quality coach compared to millions for a stadium. not taking care of JD would send out a bad message to any potential new coaches of how cheap akron is. how the hell can Can't state pay more to it's head coach than we do?
