I had this game running in the background but the ESPN3 player is screwing up regularly today so I won't be watching the ending, even tho it's a 3 point game. Win or lose, it was a lackluster outing by the kitties and they will drop in the polls.

Sounds good. That's 10 extra tabs for JJ's just for streaming the local college game...still you'd think there would have been more. It would only make sense for Barley House to do the same since they're close to campus and it was a Sat. night game; IDK if they did or not.

Could be reminiscent of the Frye vs. Big Ben shootout(s) - not to bring up any bad memories. I wonder if TB has learned about some of the history of this series(?) This one is on ESPN3 again but then BG and OU are not..

If anyone wants to report back...I would be interested to know how the Johnny J's watch party turned out? Were there many Zips fans there? Did they successfully stream the game? How many TV's? They had some spots on the WARF broadcast so hopefully it becomes an ongoing Zips hangout.

I won't be in Akron but you might want to give them a call and confirm that they understand the game isn't on ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU, maybe ask them how they intend to show the game on their TV(s). But at least it sounds like they're a few steps ahead of Barley House, at least in terms of intending to host a Zips watch party.

Who officiates the club hockey games? Do they get regular college hockey refs? Or are they from other area amateur leagues? Just wondering what the quality of officiating is..

I really enjoy TB's press conferences..thanks for posting. It's funny that Frenchie asks most of the questions even though he's not the one that has to write the newspaper articles.. it seems he's there more as a facilitator. I'm wondering why the UT game is at night since there's no ESPN TV coverage/conflicts. Maybe due to local ABC/NBC/CBS coverage/schedules? Otherwise, it seems more practical to have the game during daylight hours.

Did they refund the price of admission to the spectators?

I would place the ratio of clean catches to batted/bobbled/botched attempts by receivers and DB's at about 1:5. It was like watching a beginning juggling class. The MAC will be on a par with the Big EastCentralMountainWest in a couple of years from now.
